Here’s a fun one for you. According to the latest U.S. Census, the Native American population in the United States grew by 86.5 percent between 2010 and 2020.
Yep, you read that right. Eighty-six percent!
But how could this be possible? In a piece for The Conversation, Circe Sturm, Professor of Anthropology at the University of Texas at Austin College of Liberal Arts wrote that this is a rate of growth that “demographers say is impossible to achieve without immigration.”

When we filled out the census last go around I selected native American, my mom’s side of the family are Cherokee and the same for my wife, her dad’s side are Cherokee. The other side her family were nazis the real, Soros kind of nazis. But that’s a story for another day.
I bet Cherokee was the one with the biggest increase. Ever single person I’ve run into that claims they are part Indian, it’s always Cherokee.
My great grandmother (father’s side) was a full blood Cherokee (Scot immigrants couldn’t get white women at that time – lower than whale shit – though it may have been love – I don’t know). I have (had) brown hair, hazel eyes, fair skin, and freckles.
It never dawned on me to pretend I was an Indian – reservation, casino, or whatever.

TRF and Steve Brown – when I read that article last week that is exactly what I thought. I was amazed that the author never considered the possibility that people sick of the divisions and favoritism are either sabotaging the damn census or really claiming Native American because they were born here.
