   My son was born in 1993. We (and his athletic coaches) taught him to be “born before 1970”. Both the bones in one leg were snapped in two during a training session vaulting horse accident in Germany which precluded him competing there that year. He was in a hospital there for a tibial nail surgery and never complained. He vowed to come back and better than ever and he worked hard and did it. I was so proud of his positive attitude and determination; he was also a positive influence for the other athletes. 💪🏻
