California Should Force Parents to Give Away Their Children

A New Modest Proposal” (w/apologies to Jonathan Swift)

US Education Service – If California is ever going to achieve true fairness, the state must require parents to give up their children.

Californians today often espouse fairness, the idea of a just society completely free from prejudice, as our highest value. Gov. Gavin Newsom says he makes decisions through “an equity lens.” Institutions, from dance ensembles to technology companies, have made public commitments to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

But his promises of new equitable systems are no match for the power of parents.

Parents with greater wealth, education, or other resources are more likely to pass these advantages on to their children, compounding the privilege for generations. As a result, children of disadvantaged parents face an uphill struggle, social mobility has stagnated, and democracy has been corrupted. More Californians are giving up the dream; a recent survey by the Public Policy Institute of California found a diminishing belief in the notion that you can get ahead through hard work.

My solution is simple, and while we wait for legislation to pass, we can act now: the rich should give their children to the poor, and the poor should give their children to the rich. Homeowners can exchange children with their homeless neighbors.

Article about possible satire:

The Free Thought Project – Corporate Media Calls for ‘Abolishing Parenthood’, Forcing Parents to Turn Children Over to the State

Update: some readers have contacted TFTP to inform us that the piece below was satire although it was not at all labelled as such in the multiple mainstream outlets who published it. TFTP has reached out to the SF Chronicle and the VC Star to inquire about why they chose to deceptively run this article on their sites which have no other satire, without labeling it as a satirical piece if it is in fact satire.

It appears that it could be a revamp of Jonathan Swift’s satirical essay, titled, ‘A Modest Proposal.’ But since it was not labeled at all, it was at best a mistake (by all the outlets involved) and at worst, a deliberate attempt by these outlets to deceive their readers. Either way, they completely dropped the ball.

We have not heard back from the dozen plus emails we sent to various editors. We will update this piece if and when we have new information.

The publicly traded Gannett Co., Inc. (NYSE: GCI) is the largest newspaper publisher in the United States reaching over 173 million people monthly with hundreds of subsidiary outlets. These outlets give readers a sense of diversity, but in reality, they are all part of the same billion dollar media conglomerate. The USA Today network controls more than 260 daily local newspaper brands, digital marketing service companies ReachLocal, WordStream, and ThriveHive and U.K. media company Newsquest.

This massive media conglomerate has no problem using its multiple news properties to create narratives to shift public opinion.

  1. At least they got the “Democracy has been corrupted” part right.
Has more to do with people who think democracy makes a ‘fair’ society – it doesn’t.
The rest is resentment & jealousy.

  2. I once would have said if you mess with people’s kids you will find out what parents will do to protect their kids.

But then I started watching parents tell their kids they’re the opposite sex and watched them force their kids into masks and line up to get poison injected into them. So unfortunately it appears a majority of parents today don’t care to throw their kids to the wolves.

  3. Recognized as satire along the lines of Swift’s ‘A Modest Proposal’s.

What the Progressives are up in arms about is that it is plausible that they proposed such a preposterous idea. “It takes a village…” said some crone.

  4. As soon as the unspeakable is openly brought up in public discussion, people begin to be inured to it. It is one big reason why leftists bring up every kind of disgusting topic.

They are trying to condition us to accept the unacceptable.

  5. Some 55 million infants have been murdered in utero over the past 45 years, or so.
It should be fairly apparent that “parents” aren’t all that keen on children.
Great little tax deductions, but other than that, sort of a pain in the ass.
Turn em loose in Walmart and let em act like a bunch of wild Mohicans.
Set em in front of the TV or Video Games so you don’t have to deal with em.
If it’s a boy acting like a boy, send him to school to be “diagnosed” as ADHD and put on drugs for the rest of his life.
Or send him to school and have him taught to suck his friends’ dicks.

  6. They were pissed off that they were not told it was satire – because this satire is so close to a possible reality out in LeftyLand.

Deep down, they realize that this is the end-game…. your kids do not belong to you, they belong to the state.

  7. “Institutions , from dance ensembles to technology companies, have made public commitments to equity, diversity, and inclusion…”

Apparently this policy does not apply to the NBA, NFL, an MLB.
