In Seattle and King County, the Amalgamated Transit Union leadership recently posted a bulletin which stated “…Rapists, violent predators, and deranged people are riding on our buses.” Homeless drug addicts are using the buses as garbage dumps, outhouses, and turning them into crime scenes. Democrat King County Executive Dow Constantine is refusing to do anything to fix this problem. WATCH @ We The Governed. h/t Mrs6pak

“RAPISTS, VIOLENT PREDATORS, AND DERANGED PEOPLE ARE RIDING ON OUR BUSES.”
…in other words, public transportation hasn’t changed since it was invented.

When I visit L.A. I have been taking the Santa Monica bus from LAX to Santa Monica. Cost: $1. I missed the memo when they went to card only, they don’t take cash anymore or a credit card. So what did the driver do when I couldn’t pay? She let me on. I thought that was a nice, friendly thing to do – but the reality is that the drivers are told to avoid all confrontation. I have seen several crazies get on, not too crazy fortunately, not pay but the driver just waves them through. The reality is that for $1 the system isn’t making money off of riders but through the government subsidy, so there is no reason for a driver to risk his life or even the hassle over $1.
…could be worse…

IOW, Progressives.
Well, this is transportation-related. Why you need a big truck (and a dashcam):

“Thank God for the rain, which has helped wash away the garbage and trash off the sidewalks. I’m working long hours now: six in the afternoon to six in the morning. Sometimes, even eight in the morning, six days a week. Sometimes seven days a week. It’s a long hustle, but it keeps me real busy. I can take in three, three-fifty a week. Sometimes even more when I do it off the meter. All the animals come out at night – whores, skunk pussies, buggers, queens, fairies, dopers, junkies, sick, venal. Someday, a real rain will come and wash all this scum off the streets.”

You mean the city staff right?
DeNiro could have been talking about Seattle -I’ve had the pleasure a couple times to have to make my way from the ferry terminal to the rail to SeaTac after midnight. On foot. Unarmed but for a box cutter which I disposed of at the airport. The last time was so bad I did the trip in the late afternoon & slept overnight in the airport
Creepy as you’d expect. Zombified weirdos shuffling about or perched on bus benches & curbs, block after block of homeless hanging out around their tents, piles of needles and feces, fights, criminals, garbage & debris everywhere, over turned trash cans and never saw 1 cop.

I used to buy tickets for the entire series at The Seattle Symphony because my mother loved it so much. About ten years ago she decided it wasn’t worth it to go into Seattle for any reason any longer.
It is a fucking disgrace and the goddamned shitweasels are exporting their pathologies wholesale out to the suburbs.
JDHasty, and it’s a lot worse now than it was 10 years ago. By orders of magnitude. I drove down 3rd Ave. a few months ago and it is absolutely unbelievable there. It’s like something out of a distopian movie. It has to be seen to be believed. Downtown Seattle is not a part of the civilized world anymore.
Left Coast Dan: I used to belong to the union local in this story, driving for the agency in question.
We were told to challenge someone for the fare only if we thought it was safe. If we challenged somebody and we got assaulted, the agency pretty much considered it to be our fault.
I personally did not think it right to let a gang banger not pay a fare but challenge a little old lady. So I generally did not worry about it.
The only times I would challenge someone is when they acted like they thought they were getting away with pulling a fast one. The things I would not tolerate were someone either challenging my authority or trying to make me look like a fool. I felt that either of those things could make for long-term consequences for me.
One time late at night, several people were getting on and a small Native American guy slipped behind them.
“You! Come here!”
He slowly came to the front looking ashamed.
“You didn’t pay, did you?”
He shook his head no, staring at the floor with a shamed look.
“Do,you have any money?”
Again he shook his head no.
“Sit down.”
He got the message to tell me he didn’t have any money and not act like he pulled a fast one on me.
The old Greyhound bus station in downtown Spokane used to be worse, it was where all the queers hung out back in the 70’s.
Back in 1997 (before I drove busses), I lived in West Seattle and was in a play on Vashon Island.
One night I was really late coming back. On the ferry a young Japanese exchange student started talking to me. She had been at a friend’s house and was really late coming back. I told her that the last 54 had already come and gone. She needed to get to the area around Seattle Central community college. My car was parked by the ferry terminal and I said I would take her. When we got to the usual transfer point at 2nd and Pike she said “You can let me out here and I can catch the bus the rest of the way.”
Even back then I was not going to let a young woman wait at 2nd and Pike at two o’clock in. The morning.
Where is the venue for the symphony in Seattle JD?
Throughout the 90s & 00s, I would enjoy a weekender some where in a city. Grab my current gal and enjoy a little getaway. Seattle was my favorite. More fun than Boston and I’m a huge American history buff. Such a shame.
Just now writing Boston, I don’t remember any antifa bullshit in 2020 happening there. I guess this might explain why and also why it looks like Boston is fucked…Ms. Wu is the first woman and the first person of color to be elected mayor in Boston, which has been led by an unbroken string of Irish American or Italian American men since the 1930s.
She’s just opened The Office of Black Male Advancement. it never stops with these REgressives, they fuck up EVERYTHING they touch.
Ralph Kramden would not stand for this.
Wait a minute: Rapists, violent predators, and deranged people have recently been – and are STILL in – THE HIGHEST OFFICES IN OUR LAND!
If they’re being driven around in armored limos, why not the rest of the nation’s human shit being allowed to ride on our buses and trains??
