New Jersey: Mask mandate for schools ending in March

CBS: New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy plans to end a statewide mask mandate to protect against COVID-19 in schools and child care centers. The change goes into effect March 7 and comes as New Jersey’s caseload drops after a spike around the holidays fueled by the Omicron variant.

The governor announced the development at a news conference Monday. Local school districts and private child care providers will still be able to require masks if they want, Murphy said. read more

  1. They’ll be back as soon as the stupid fucking voters in NJ put the fucking democrats right back in power. They’re only lifting these restrictions because it’s killing them in the polls. As soon as they’re back in power, they’ll turn right back into the fascist cunts they actually are. Democrat voters are just too goddamn motherfucking stupid to figure that simple and obvious fact out.

  2. Most of these ‘lifting the mandates’ are simply leaving the decision to counties and school districts which will not lift the mandate.
    The VA state senator I posted about earlier, Chapman Petersen, had an amendment today on a bill that states that any parent can have their child go maskless at school, without a reason and without retribution. The amendment passed in the senate chamber 29-9.
