Rand Paul Introduces Amendment to Fire Fauci

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., told “Jesse Watters Primetime” on Monday that he will introduce an amendment before the Senate this week to remove Dr. Anthony Fauci from his position as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).

Paul, a medical doctor himself who frequently has challenged Fauci’s leadership throughout the pandemic, said he is seeking to decentralize Fauci’s role so that no “petty tyrant” can “monopolize” political influence in the name of public health.   2. @SNS — Not that this will go anywhere, but a bunch of House Ranking Members just sent one of those letters off to HHS Sec’y Becerra asking to be shown just how ALL of the NIH bosses are legally employed. Evidently, by statute their appointments all expired on Dec. 31, 2021, and there’s been no paperwork or announcements about any of them being reappointed.
