Support grows among Republicans for naming a special counsel to investigate Hunter Biden

JTN-

Nearly 100 House Republicans are urging Attorney General Merrick Garland to appoint a special counsel to investigate Hunter Biden’s foreign business deals, saying they had the hallmarks of an influence peddling scandal.

The letter led by Reps. Tom Rice (R-S.C.) and Jim Banks (R-Ind.), the chair of the House GOP Study Committee, comes as the U.S. attorney in Delaware enters his third year investigating Hunter Biden’s taxes, foreign lobbying and money movements.

In all, 95 House GOP members signed the letter.

“It is increasingly clear that Hunter Biden took advantage of his father’s position as Vice President to develop business relationships with clients in Ukraine, China, and Kazakhstan,” the lawmakers wrote. “Hunter Biden likely facilitated lobbying for foreign entities through third-party channels without registering for the Foreign Agents Registration Act.

“It appears that Hunter Biden used his position as son of then-Vice President Biden to gain wealth and influence in foreign countries, using questionably sourced money to pay tax liabilities, and lobbying on behalf of foreign entities without proceeding through the proper channels.”

  1. Historically “special counsels” are obfuscations – smoke and mirrors to drag out, dissipate, and ultimately cover up criminality.
They are always Washington “insiders” (which means deep state traitors) whose agendas have nothing to do with Justice.
And he (she/it) would be appointed by the usurping traitorous pedophile Joey B!

  2. At this point I think we might be better served by an expose of how it got covered up. The intelligence specialists that signed a statement saying it was likely Russian disinfo, censorship, media coverage, politician’s statements, etc. Even though people like Applebaum have said it was not interesting or had no effect on the election, others directly involved have said they are proud they helped swing the election.

    > support grows for having an honest, law abiding government

As long as it’s appointed by the current, corrupt government. According to the rules (subject to change, without notice) of the current, corrupt government. And accepted, with no further interference, by the current, corrupt government.

    Same as it ever was.

  6. Congress will never do anything about the crimes and corruption of the Bidens, Clintons, Obamas, et al. What we need is a fearless DA, like Jim Garrison who will at least put these assholes on trial and under oath.

“Fearless”. I do not think that word means, what you think it means.

(Apologies to Mr. Montoya. Oh! And the ghosts of Americans. Who gave up Christmas with their families. To paddle across a frozen river. And kill a bunch of their foreign rulers.)
