Leftwing Jackass Died Ignoring Oncoming Train Warning

Ten years ago if asked who the biggest douchenozzle leftwing “writer” was I would have likely said Eric Boehlert.

He was definitely on my top 5 list along with Keith Olbermann and Greg Sargent.

Boehlert was the “senior fellow” at Media Matters, and frequently tried to scratch the eyes out of Andrew Breibart’s head in a way so catty you couldn’t help to wish he would…

Well, he did.

“Boehlert was riding his bike over the tracks at North Fullerton Avenue when he was hit by a train headed for Hackettstown in Warren County, according to NJ Transit.”

On a bike, no less.

“Eric was a kind and gentle man, with never a cruel word, but was always strong and brave in his observations of media bias, unafraid to call out the most esteemed media giants in his quest for fairness and equality,” the obituary says.

I must have the wrong Boehlert. Kind and gentle?

The left rejoiced in Breitbart’s death. I am above that.

(What is the word for the emotion a tiny notch below rejoice?)

Well, it turns out the Train gates were down when media critic Eric Boehlert was struck, killed, NJ Transit says.

I guess he only “looked left.”

  1. Well, my son is an engineer with the railroad, he has hit people before – they got in his way. One guy killed himself, laid his neck on the rail and it was a clean cut. Son’s supervisor stopped him 10 miles down the track. Made him get off the train, and pee in a cup. Son didn’t even know he had hit anything. Cameras showed it was a suicide. Ear phones kill as well….they can’t hear the horn blasting at them.

  2. I could never get straight between this guy and Eric Bolling from Fox News (formerly). I guess now it will be easier.

  3. I guess the world didn’t revolve around him after all.

I’m a retired AT&SF engineer. We had a rule (one of hundreds) that told us to expect movement on any track, at anytime, in either direction. Good to remember at RR crossings.

  4. LOL…stupid ass. Life isn’t like cartoons, where you almost get killed, but walk it off while a little halo of stars is swirling above your head. Good riddance.

  5. This reinforces my belief that libtards live in their own little imaginary world where they get to create the reality they want.
This moron created the reality that trains can stop on a dime like cars in a shopping center parking lot and he could just cut in front of it and “squeeze” buy.
If the world keeps heading in the direction it is I believe these libtards will soon be awakened by the reality that they pissed off the rest of the world to the point they couldn’t ignore it any longer. It WILL be ugly.

  6. If you believe in Globaloney Warming Hoax, Dempanic CoVid Hoax, Socialism, Nihilism, and a bunch of other stupid shit, you’re probably Physics-challenged and DON’T believe all that “conservative” mass and momentum bullshit.

Train couldn’t hurt him cuz he’s “special.”

  7. …I once had the daughter of a train engineer in my squad on a night when I was driving so we put him up front next to me, wasn’t uncommon in those days when the hospital might need ready consent from a parent and it kept parent and patient happy.

The kid wasn’t too bad, we were going to a further out hospital and I was driving on a mostly empty 3 AM highway with high visibility and so didn’t too much need the siren, so I was able to talk to the guy. I’m not super sociable but I talked to everyone in THAT setting, because it put them at ease, distracted them from the immediate problem, and I got to learn about other people’s lives (and sometimes get info of interest to the police, but that wasn’t the case here).

One thing that kept coming up was deaths at crossings. He told me that EVERY engineer, without exception, has killed someone with his train at some point, mostly because of impatient people that think a train can stop like a car. I was a bit skeptical (not a lot of train crossings in MY district), but he kept citing them, sometimes in pretty good detail.

I have since seen and heard many people say, as above, that this is the case, and I have never heard anything contrary. Evidently, stupid people + trains = engineer body count.

This makes me feel pretty sorry for the engineer. Many people don’t like it when they kill someone, even if it’s not their fault, even to the point sometimes of suicide because of the (in my opinion, unwarranted) guilt.

Sometimes you just have to be able to accept that bad shit happens.

Apparently more so if you want to be a train engineer.

  8. Boehlert’s family will sue NJTransit, the earbud manufacturer, the bike company, the helmet company, and the retailers. A $multimillion settlement is coming.

It’s never the fault of the victim. Never.

“So I’m guessing closed casket funeral.”

…I never had to deal with this type of accident as a medic, but I DID see a guy who committed suicide by train in the railway cutting behind the Sears Auto Center I worked at once. Came in apparently in the early morning when it was still dark, left a note in his car, apparently drugged himself, and laid down coming out of a curve so there would be no reaction time for the engineer.

Mission accomplished, but he was found in several scattered pieces and it wasn’t very clean cuts at all.

…but I gotta say, kudos for not playing around. This guy DEFINITELY didn’t want to be found alive, and did a SUPER job ensuring he wouldn’t be.

Crap like THIS gave me a lot of respect for trains.

But liberals, as far as I can tell, have no respect for ANYTHING.

…this is the result. Sooner or later, that bill comes due, and reality hits you like an, uh, freight train.

The penalty then is severe and messy.

A lesson that Boehlert didn’t live long enough to profit from.

  12. SNS, when I was a little girl I rode my bike near my Grandpa’s house, a block away from the train station. He taught me well that when the gate goes down to wait till the train passes and the gates are back up and it was safe to cross. Sometimes another train would come through in the other direction. Always waited for that gate to go back up. Too bad for this guy and the family he left behind that he never learned that lesson. Never met Andrew Breitbart but love him anyway. Saw him for the first time on Gutfeld’s Red Eye. He does live on in his family and website where he’s still sorely missed .
Too bad for Boehlert that he was so close-minded. My Grandpa lived on Long Island in a place where we could pick Wild blueberries, raspberries and blackberries. Such an innocent time
Hope that your other half is doing well and enjoying some Spring weather and that you, yourself are keeping strong! Don’t forget to eat, now.

…thank you for remembering Mrs. SNS. She’s healed (mostly) from the actual surgical part, but after having this week off from doctor visits (first time since March 1!) it’s back bright and early on the Monday after Easter for the first of 5 weeks of daily radiation therapy! Yay!

…but God is good and will see her through this, and the prayers of many including you, Brad (as a survivor he’s been a great source of wisdom for me) and many others here and IRL are better than anything any doctor can do.

As for me, I’m a tub, so I could afford to fast for a day or month. I used to weigh 165 until I got married, now I look like I ate that 165 pound guy and about a quarter of another one besides. I appreciate your concern though, not everyone is empathetic enough to think of family too.

    Thank you and God Bless,
    SNS
