Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) Says Gas Prices Don’t ‘Matter’ to Her

Breitbart

Democrat Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) said that gas prices “didn’t matter” to her because she drives an electric vehicle while millions of Americans feel the financial burden of record-high gas prices.

Stabenow’s remarks came during Tuesday’s Senate Finance Committee hearing about President Joe Biden’s fiscal year 2023 budget.

“On the issue of gas prices, after waiting for a long time to have enough chips in this country to finally get my electric vehicle, I got it and drove it from Michigan to here this last weekend and went by every single gas station and it didn’t matter how high it was,” Stabenow said.

“I’m looking forward to the opportunity for us to move to vehicles that aren’t going to be dependent on the whims of the oil companies and the international markets,” she added. more

  1. First off, she is one ugly hag. And how much electricity does it cost to recharge the batteries in her POS EV? Or does she even care or give a damn about that either. And dear dumbass Senator lady if the power grid goes down your EV won’t go nowhere. IDIOTS!

  2. I had no trouble buying an electric vehicle and having people add lots of electrical gimcrackery to my house because I have a high paying Government job that I don’t have to show up to at any particular time.

So why don’t YOU take YOUR big Government salary and buy YOUR electric car too?

What do you mean, you don’t have a big Government salary? EVERYONE I know has a big Government salary!

    SECURITY! REMOVE THIS PERSON IMMEDIATELY!

I’m guessing that arrogant idiot would have trouble puttting batteries in a flashlight!

“Instead, I want us to be at the whims of various countries run by tyrannies like China where rare earths are extracted in a very environmentally destructive process using slave labor, because countries like China pay me very, VERY well to make sure I can CONTINUE to not care about “gas prices”, and also so I have a place to send MY peasants for punishment if they get too uppity, you know, later, after another election or two sponsored by Dominion makes us a little more secure…”

“It’s 524 miles from Detroit to D.C. Stabenow didn’t make it without recharging, a process that would take longer than filling up a regular gas tank.”

…Remember when Pete Buttfuck had the Secret Service drive him in an SUV convoy so he could ride a bike a couple of blocks for a photo-op?

..probably like that. She has someone flabed the thing with a big, stinky diesel to within a mile of the Beltway somewhere and unload it, then move far away while her security detail envelopes her for her short, unsteady from drinking walk to her freshly charged and unloaded EV for some good ol’ fashion virtue signalling of her own…

  6. The left hates everything but electricity and is trying to get rid of most of what produces it. If they get their wish there’s no way there would be enough electricity to run things.

  7. What a gift! Too bad that all elections in Michigan are rigged by the presence of hundreds of thousands of Plantation Dwelling Black Colored Functional Illiterates, who depend on Dementiacrats for their big screen television sets, their Obamaphones, and their checks from Swamp Dwellers like this miserable Senator.

  8. How many of your constituents can afford that same car you’re driving Debbie? You’re raking in $174,000 per year and that doesn’t include all the perks of the office you hold.

So glad I left that state 5 years ago.

  9. Wow, and the UAW still supports that cunt? Does she not see the connection between gas prices and the auto industry? Probably not. She is a democrat, after all. All “real” problems are caused by racism, homophobia, and straight white people.

…or the fraud, the bribes, the corruption, the insider trading, and the REST of the grift, it ain’t that SALARY that makes ’em all millionaires after a year in DC…

Doesn’t she mean the whims of Presidents and their executive orders that cut our oil production

    …yep, that can surely happen…

…and maybe people can’t even pull you out before you burn to death, too.

…so yeah, maybe an ironic death, but considering she’s always watched over by Government thugs with guns, they probably wouldn’t let her die, might screw up their pension…

  13. Forty percent powered by coal. Never forget that. Forty percent of electric energy generated in the US comes from coal power plants.

I want this on a bumper sticker I can slap on all the EVs I see.

  14. She’s not out of touch, she’s perfectly in tune with her cohorts in DC. This grand plan to use “sustainables” despite what 100s of millions of us rubes want/need is exactly what the criminal cartel masquerading as a government has in store for us.

Couple the food shortage/inflation nightmare with the terrible Chinese flu data that is escaping censorship and there’s not going to be that many of us to worry about anyway.

  15. If these people, the adults, are serious about transitioning everyone to EV’s why aren’t they at least offering Gov insured financing for the poor and middle class? These idiots are big on creating problems and offering no solution. I’ll drive an EV for a local commuter. As soon as they give me one. Paying 65K for something that will be totally worthless in 5 years when the battery take a shit doesn’t pencil.

    9
  16. Is it wrong to hope she’s telling the truth about having an EV? Because I hope she stands in a puddle of water in her garage as she plugs it in.

    Is that wrong?

  17. “I’m looking forward to the opportunity for us to move to vehicles that aren’t going to be dependent on the whims of the oil companies and the international markets,”

No chance of being dependent on the whims of the electric utilities, eh Debbie? Or the whims of the nations that are pretty much the sole sources of the raw materials to produce batteries for electric cars, Debbie?

Democrats have dreams that aren’t based in reality, they implement them, they fail, they blame others for the failures and then the taxpayers get to foot the bill to correct the problem that their misguided dreams created.

When do we step in and stop the merry-go-round?

  18. How many days before a Hurricane hits do I have to leave SW Florida if I have an electric vehicle? When we left town to have to not experience hurricane Irma first hand, we had to drive almost 800 miles to even find a place to stay overnight. A lot of that was in stop and go traffic because not surprisingly, the rest of SW FL had the same idea.

    5
  19. I cannot wait for the day she’s in for a nice surprise when she can’t charge her EV because all the so-called fossil fuel-burning power plants are shut down and ‘renewables’ cannot supply the needed demand.

    6
  20. When I was still in construction we were working at an office complex in Southfield , Mich and she was coming out the exit about 20 feet behind me. I did not hold the door for her and feel damn good about it.

  21. …you know, even if they did build a network of 24 hour “fast” recharge stations with Pedo’s illegal hijacking of private business for stupid infrastructure fantasies, for current tech that means you’re sitting in 1 place for 30 minutes or so, tethered to a machine while you sit in your car in a not necessarily heavily occupied recharge station in the dark if you’re attempting an overnight trip. Maybe a good time to kick back and take a nap.

I wonder if that will give criminals any ideas?
