Man Arrested in Seattle for Reading Bible Aloud Too Close to Gay Pride Parade

Red State

A Seattle man was arrested for reading aloud the Gospel of Saint Matthew in a public park as a “Gay Pride*” event was taking place.

Matthew Meinecke, often referred to as a “street preacher,” was on public property reading aloud from the Bible without the benefit of amplification when he was rousted and then arrested by Seattle’s finest.

Meinecke was also arrested last week for reading his Bible aloud near a pro-Moloch demonstration. I’m not sure what the facts were there, but according to reports, the Seattle city prosecutor does not plan on charging Meinecke for anything. This reveals the true purpose of the arrest was to silence Meinecke so the Gay Pride bunch wouldn’t be upset.

I’m going to return to a theme that I’ve harped on in the past. Too many conservatives have bought into the “back the blue” nonsense in response to the “defund the police” movement and BLM rioting. This is misguided. Police aren’t guarantors of freedom; they are the enforcers of the administrative state. Police unions and cliques of senior police officers are one of the major forces against gun rights.

  1. The advertisements are no big deal, the pop up is affecting my iPad (or something is). I have had to clean it up five or six times by clearing the catche and restarting. It’s fine until I revisit. This needs to be figured out. The adds are paying the freight. We need them, that is absolutely understandable. But the infections will affect people coming.

  2. Clear and obvious violation of enumerated Constitutional rights guaranteed under the Constitution. Cha ching, pay up suckers. Absolutely done with malicious intent and done to limit participation in the discussion of a political topic. Seattle has no recourse to objectionable, offensive or disruptive. They have endorsed “the objective is to offend and disrupt those we disagree with politically.” What is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. We are talking rights guaranteed under the federal Constitution, start negotiating a settlement.

Seattle’s only LEO left that that is worthy of respect are sitting out retirement at this juncture. They can’t attract anything but misfits and leftist malcontents at this point. They are spending a fortune on advertising recruits and getting no one worth hiring to apply. The idiots who were involved in this should know better all the way up and down the chain of command.

Only four blatantly activist judges left on SCOTUS, I doubt even the Ninth Circus will try and save Seattle on this one. Compensatory damages are absolutely called for and the bill should be high enough to get the attention of any other jurisdictions that try and pull the same stunt.

  3. The rise of every despot in history was accomplished by recruiting an army of sadistic bullies to enforce their dictates. Today’s big city cops fulfill this role today.

  4. Yes, I agree with FatherMayI. I for one don’t want to have a bunch of perverts, pedophiles, catamites and liberals parading around in public like the first amendment guarantees, but if it’s something I am offended by than sweep that pesky Constitution aside so I can have some peace. I say more Bible reading in public is damn sight better than naked men riding bikes in front of Boy Scouts taking up the whole street with their obscenity.

  5. FatherMayI doesn’t seem to want to exercise his right to not listen. He’d rather all those religious people’s 1st Amendment rights be squashed… typical of ‘not-in-my-backyard’ Liberals.

I’m with Dr. Tar. I’d rather walk down a street full of people on religious soap boxes than observe the obscenities of vulgar, America-hating, immoral, drug-addled, defecating, sexually-confused, potentially violent, baby-killing, shit-for-brains Communists ‘political activists’ who leave a mess (in more ways than one) everywhere they go.

  6. Of what, exactly, is a faggot proud?

AIDS? STDs? Anal warts? Mouth funguses? Licking one’s shit off others’ dicks?
Beating the snot out of its “partner?” Murderous psychopathy? Shortened lifespan? Suicide? Depression? Hatred? Masochism? Sadism? Bereft of God and Salvation? Eternity in Torment?

“Pride” is another catch-word that eludes definition.
    Fag Pride?
    Black Pride?
    Latino Pride?
    FemiNazi Pride?

Take pride in your accomplishments – not in your ancestry, sexual deviations, or other things of which you have no control.

But I guess being Proud doesn’t mean anything meaningful.

  7. does anyone have a clear, concise and accurate understanding of what they are proud of? I would think mowing the lawn or picking up the coyote calling cards from my sidewalk would be a greater source of pride.

or did they change the meaning of the word, and if so, what does it mean now?

  8. ” if think for one godam minute that people want this shit shoved down their throats”

shoving things down throats tells me where you are coming from. and coming to, for that matter

maybe they are proud that they can still fart and don’t leave racing stripes in their fruit of the looms

  9. Father Whutsyername – We noticed that you didn’t object to having homosexuality shoved down your throat (or up your ass for tthat matter). Maybe next time yer at the Pride parade in DC check out Home-O-Rama. It’s the first left turn after you pass the Potomac fairy….

  10. Oh come on man, this street person wannbe bible thumper most likely is mentally ill. Arrested for his own good. Plenty o places in homie’s town to rant the bible. He just was lookin for trouble.

  11. @lqbtq You’re missing the point. The man has the right to a.) Free speech b.) Religion without interference from the state.

If people object or are offended they can exercise their right speak openly, publish news stories, gather and march in the street, and petition their government for redress; all necessary rights to maintain at least the resemblance to a free society, as we prepare to celebrate the 4th.

One final point, those who choose to exercise their 1st amendment rights have the 2nd amendment to ensure anyone who would violate those rights with violence think twice about it.

    God Bless the U.S.A.

  12. “Ain’t America great! Need more education on living in a “Woke” society in the class room.”

No, racist Betty, America ain’t great. It’s built on the backs of black people. Take your white ass back to Europe if you want to contribute. We need less education and more indoctrination in the classroom. And why are you putting quotes around woke? You are seriously messed up, girl.

  13. I find it slightly amusing to see the Conservative crowd turning on the thin blue line.

    A. I told you so.
    B. Now you all are being suckered in the opposite direction….but you’re still being suckered.
    C. Cops are people. No better or worse than the general public.

Also…to all you people bitching about the ads on the site. PAY UP MUTHER TRUCKERS. Nothing in life is free. The ads are here because you skin flints wont support the site. Pay up or shut up.

  14. @El Burrnifico ~ difference is, cops pledge an oath of office

maybe it’s just the lines of work that I happened to take, but don’t remember any other civi or municipal job I ever had requiring an oath

taking an oath used to be serious shit … testament, testimony, testify (original Roman meaning: I swear on my testicles) … serious shit
appears that, in ‘modern’ times, someone’s word don’t mean shit

    but hey … happy trails!

  15. I took the oath. On two separate non consecutive occasions. I still have my balls.

My point is people are easily swayed by media opinion. Some of the staunchest supports of the po-lice on here are now subtly talking ish’ about them.

That amuses me. Anytime I see a crowd being swayed I find it amusing. It’s all based on appeal to emotion. Hahahahahahaha. Try again.

Also, no matter how many damn oaths some tool takes it doesn’t mean he’s gonna’ understand it much less honor it.

Plus, for the past 12 years I’ve been telling everyone to join a bike club. That way you all could have seen what was coming for the general population easily a decade ago.

My take away is that the only thing that works is ones own sense of honor and ones personal code.

My code can be written on the back of a gum wrapper.
