The next day I greedily reached in and grabbed a handful to stuff my face with. Only after did I look in the bag and see it was swarming with ants.

The speedo on my ’73 Cutlass Supreme with a 350 4bbl dual exhaust only went to 120 in a day and age before the Sheriff had a helicopter, so I don’t really know how fast it went. It seemed really, really fast in a 4000 pound car with rear drum brakes and the trademark GM sloppy parallelogram steering system, tho.
Ridden in a helicopter- a few, but the best one was the actual Batcopter from the Adam West TV series. Some guy bought it and was selling rides at the Ohio State Fair one time, so the wife and I got on. It had signatures in it from the cast too, so it was kind of interesting for that and visually, but it rode like a helicopter, and a little one at that.

Had a couple of overnights in my half-century, the longest being when I had appendicitis with adhesions as a kid back when they had to lay you open to get unstuck, but mostly for other people like my wife and kid where I’ve had to use my learned ability to sleep upright and lightly so I’m good to go when God tells me I need to save them from the hospital’s incompetence. Also spent a lot of time in ERs, in squad bays, and writing reports in squad rooms.

Stayed in a hospital – Was hospitalized with strep throat for a week when I was 20. Also had out-patient surgery in my 40s.
Been snow skiing – No, but I would like to try it out.
Been to Disney World – Had no interest in it before all the controversy, and sure as hell have none now.

Driven a stick shift – It’s how I learned to drive.
Ridden in a police car – I’ve actually been arrested, cuffed, stuffed, transported, photographed, fingerprinted, indicted, and then had the charges dropped and my record expunged about four months later. Jesus Christ, what an experience.
Been on a cruise – Nope. Hate the ocean. Being on a boat would probably be terrifying to me.
Run out of gas – A time or two. Happens when the gas gauge on the beater car you bought for a couple hundred bucks doesn’t work.

Been to Europe – Spent a year in the south part of England in my 20s, and spent a month in Germany in my late 30s. I can understand now why my ancestors migrated to America.
Been to nude beach – No, but I’ve technically been to a topless beach in Bournemouth. Only trouble is, it turned out to be a topless beach directly below a retirement community, so it was far less awesome experience than I had been expecting.
Attended protest rally – Never been to a rally of any kind. I’m usually working.
Eaten bugs as food – Not the least bit interested.
Seen the aurora borealis – Yes, but only through an airplane window, unfortunately.
Done river rafting – Can’t swim, and not a fan of deep or fast water, so no.
Been to Yellowstone – As a litle kid. So little, in fact, that I have no memory of the trip.
Owned a cat – I have a talent for finding lost kittens. What I don’t have is a talent for finding homes for them afterwards, so yeah, I’ve owned a few.
Had appendix removed – Nope. Still have all of my original parts, knock on wood.
Been in a fist fight – Yes. Finished it by grabbing the other guy by the neck and the crotch, lifting him over my head, and slamming him down onto the sidewalk. Fortunately, he wasn’t seriously hurt by this.
Found $100 or more on the ground – Found almost 400£ (something like $700 USD at the time) while in England, and spent every penny of it on stupid useless crap I don’t even have anymore. Haunts me to this day that I didn’t try to return it to the person who lost it.
