The Manchin bill also imposes tax increases on businesses that invest heavily in new jobs and buildings and training. Companies that plow all their earnings into growing the firm, hiring more people, etc. will now be hit by a 15% tax on that investment just as we are in a recession!

Highly disingenuous by Manchin. He’s not ignorant enough to think Corporations pay taxes. Taxes are factored into the costs of goods and services and passed on to the consumer. I’m fairly sure West Virginians know this as well.

It is a lie to say that corporations don’t pay taxes. Of course, they pay taxes. They may not pay an income tax, but corporations don’t have incomes. They do have to pay a corporate tax of 21%, down from 35% (due to the Trump tax cuts). I think that people like Manchin have no idea what it is to run a business.
Corporations and companies right down to Mom and Pop businesses adjust their profits to compensate for their taxes by charging more to the consumer.

YO Jack, corporations don’t pay taxes, they collect taxes from customers as part of the cost of goods(or services) sold. Raising the corporate tax rate simply means that corporations will raise their prices to cover their expenses.
It’s like politicians telling us that they are only raising property taxes on commercial property. When that cost goes up for a business like an apartment building or a manufacturer, their prices go up to cover it.
Idiots(democrats) are easily manipulated by envy but when the rent increase notice appears, they’re like WTF?
