The office of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is set to make a “major” announcement Thursday morning, a spokesperson said.
Taking to Twitter Wednesday night, DeSantis’ press secretary Christina Pushaw teased the impact of the announcement and said it will cause the “liberal media meltdown of the year.”
“MAJOR announcement tomorrow morning from @GovRonDeSantis. Prepare for the liberal media meltdown of the year,” Pushaw wrote. “Everyone get some rest tonight.”
Some people immediately began speculating if the announcement concerns the 2024 presidential election, as the Florida governor is well-liked among Republican voters.
DeSantis consistently tops polls of potential 2024 Republican candidates, usually just behind former President Donald Trump.

And if it were possible they would find a way to cancel it even if it kills us.
Under no circumstances do they intend to give power back to the people.
Really they don’t have ‘power’ that comes from a free election and God, they have force, controlling the levers of government. In fair elections they would never win again.
We are at war, just not a shooting war for the most part. A lot of people just don’t know it yet.
I want Trump to run because he was cheated out of his second term. But I do have this daydream of Trump chosing DeSantis as Veep this time then putting him in charge of undoing all the idiocy the left has done. Trump could get on with being President but could still trust DeSantis to go after what needs done like a terrier in a yard full of rats. Win-win.
Maybe DeSantis will endorse Trump, saying he’d rather stay Gov of FL.
