Just wondering if all of this could have been averted with that svelt gentleman behind the counter saying,”Mam, our apologies, we thought you had left but since you are still here we would be happy to make you a fresh meal”.
In a simpler time, working in fast food was not complicated, don’t pick your nose while cooking the food, easy enough. But now it’s a minefield. Starbucks has learned the hard way that you can’t make people buy your food in order to occupy a booth or use the restroom.
I also wonder if the cops even showed up and whether an arrest was made.
At least this one wasn’t black…

Totally agree. Seems nobody ever tries to defuse these conflicts anymore. They’re probably to busy recording them on their phones.

That really is the thing to do. What was he trying to be right about? I have found the young employees are the worst at customer service.
Back in `79 I ordered my young wife a plain cheeseburger with nothing on it. Just the way she liked them. They gave us a plain hamburger – no cheese. I took it up to the counter and the young lady said that was what we ordered. No, we ordered a CHEESE burger. Where is the cheese? She again asserted it WAS a plain cheeseburger – with NOTHING on it – not even cheese. Then why did you charge me for cheese?
We went around two or three times like this and then I asked for the manager. This was just too stupid to continue. OK! I’ll give you a stupid cheese burger! But I gave you what you ordered!
No experienced worker would even try that. Food is comped for unsatisfied customers every day of the week. This punk was in the wrong for not giving her another order to make it all go away. Reputation is worth a few pennies lost.
Are you sure it was crack? Maybe she has IBS with constipation and she was just in there too long trying to lighten her load.
