Washington, DC, Mayor Muriel Bowser (D) has declared an emergency in the region as nearly 11,000 border crossers have arrived on buses from Texas and Arizona — a fraction of the number of illegal aliens who arrive in American border towns every few days.
On Thursday, Bowser declared an emergency over the many migrant buses that have been sent to the sanctuary city of Washington, DC, from Texas by Gov. Greg Abbott (R) over the last few months.
Bowser said the emergency will allow the city to allocate about $10 million in American taxpayer money to put towards aiding and resettling arriving border crossers.
“We’re putting in place a framework that would allow us to have a coordinated response with our partners,” Bowser said. “This will include a program to meet all buses, and given that most people will move on, our primary focus is to make sure we have a humane, efficient, welcome process that will allow people to move on to their final destination.” more

I’m so glad my Mother-in-law moved out of the DC suburbs last year.
Now, if I can only convince my son to move out of Arlington, VA and my daughter to move out of Baltimore, MD.

I lived in a town close about 35 minutes out of DC. When the first wave of illegals came through the whole town changed. All fast food places let the teenagers and older people who worked for fast food go and hired latinos. They couldn’t speak English and I couldn’t speak spanish. They didn’t have a problem counting American money though. I finally sold my house and moved to the mountains. I got tired of being stared at Every time I stuck my nose out in my yard and if I as so much as left a rake outside it would be gone the next day. My dog was constantly teased. So now I’m wondering how many DC is going to send to VA. again.

In the late 70s I was in Detroit to study some General Motors engineering. I, being from the south, had lived through and gotten over the “civil rights struggle” firsthand being from Birmingham, Alabama. I had lunch with some guys from “up north”. Apparently, school integration had just started in their respective states. Man, I’d never heard such complaining, racial slurs and remarks about how Blacks were running their schools, even living in the “racist” south. I reminded them that they were all for integration (for the racist south at least) during the 60s. Same thing occurring in DC except now it’s the Latinos ruining everything in their open minded, immigration promoting and “welcoming” communities. Hahahahahahaha.
