KFC Sends Text Alert to Germans to Celebrate Kristallnacht by Adding Cheese to Their Chicken Tenders

CNBC

On Wednesday, the Yum Brands chain sent a notification that reportedly said “It’s memorial day for Kristallnacht! Treat yourself with more tender cheese on your crispy chicken. Now at KFCheese!”

KFC said the notification contained “an obviously unplanned, insensitive and unacceptable message.” More

  1. K = Kristallnacht
    F = Freedom
    C = Celebration
    🤦‍♂️👎💩🤡

I’ve always wondered how this place is still open and selling the crap that they cook. Hell, even Der Wienerschnitzel, Subway, or Arby’s is better than this chicken doodie

  2. …well, I usually celebrate with CHEESE on April 20th for Hitler’s birthday, but seeing as how blackmailing the Bidens is going so well, I can afford to splurge…

  4. Kristallnacht and Cheese?

    I’m not getting it.

Any Jews out there who can explain it?

Maybe they’re confusing it with the “Night of the Long Knives” – Ernst Rohm was pretty cheesy.

In the article KFC blames a bot that wasn’t nuanced enough to understand the difference between tragedy and celebration. Lazy and stupid on KFC’s part. – Dr. Tar

    “Kristallnacht and Cheese?

    I’m not getting it.”

“The sun on the meadow is summery warm.
The stag in the forest runs free.
But gather together to greet the storm.
    Tomorrow belongs to cheese.
The branch of the linden is leafy and
    Green,
The Rhine gives its gold to the sea.
But somewhere a glory awaits unseen.
    Tomorrow belongs to cheese.
Now Fatherland, Fatherland, show us the sign
Your children have waited to see
    The morning will come
    When the world is mine
    Tomorrow belongs to cheese
    Tomorrow belongs to cheese
    Tomorrow belongs to cheese
    Tomorrow belongs to cheese”

  6. Eesh! I’ve seen some foot-in-mouth headlines and promotions before, but all were easily explained by a very recent new use of a word, or a plain and simple gaffe.

Ignorance and accident don’t explain this.

  7. No better evidence of the state of education in Amerika than putting out a humourous plug for consumption on a horrible anniversary. Oh and next December 7th, KFC will treat that the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor.

  8. On the other hand…

KFC “telling German customers to “treat yourself” on Kristallnacht.” could be understood to mean that Germans should deny themselves or treat themselves poorly for that night of infamy. I can think of many ways to punish ones self, and KFC is on that list.

Perhaps KFC should donate all proceeds (along with the proverbial head of the employee who didn’t do his job) to the German and Austrian Jews. Or perhaps KFC should shut down for a day in Germany and Austria to go voluntarily clean the shop-fronts of Jewish-owned businesses, and to thank them for being a part of the economy.
Unless, of course, KFC would volunteer to endure and enshrine enshrine KFCnacht. After all, KFC eating some crow would SURE be appropriate.
