Prepare For Hair-Pulling and Bitch Slapping In 2023!

GOP senators who backed $1.7 trillion omnibus may face retribution from House GOP in next Congress.

JTN: The Senate on Thursday passed a $1.7 billion omnibus spending package with the support of 18 Republican senators, who backed the measure over loud objections from House Republicans who had called on the upper chamber lawmakers to refrain from setting next year’s budget until they took control of the House in January.

Those pleas fell on deaf ears for many Senate Republicans, though they may soon come to regret their decision should House lawmakers follow through on threats they made prior to the vote to obstruct legislation from any Republican who broke ranks on the issue.

Texas Republican Rep. Chip Roy led 30 other incoming and current House Republicans on Wednesday in writing an open letter to the Senate GOP in which the group vowed to thwart the legislative priorities of those Senate lawmakers. Roy’s group more than doubled in size since sending a similar letter on Monday with 13 signatures, according to The Hill. MORE

  1. “McCarthy will cave.”

Maybe. But I don’t think so. I think DJT told him you either do my bidding or you won’t ever get elected for jack shit again. He seems rather committed this time around. I could be wrong. That’s my disclaimer.

  2. It is insane that any GOP senator would vote for this, knowing they have the House in 2 weeks.
And it isn’t even the $1.7 trillion. It’s new laws hidden in this, which they didn’t even try to find out about.

  3. Why would they vote for this monstrosity when they is zero money for boarder security, only money to process the new illegal immigrant democrat voters?

The answer is that those who backed this fuster-cluck want our Country to fail and go full socialism/commie with them gaining even more power.

The repubs by passing this give Biden and his handlers almost 10 months before the House can pass another budget. They are like the guy who gets castrated so his neighbors won;t have anymore kids.

    Disgusting!

  4. “House lawmakers follow through on threats they made prior to the vote to obstruct legislation from any Republican who broke ranks ”

But what if it’s really good legislation? IDK. I guess something needs to be done. But this, on some levels seem childish.

  6. Whether McCarthy will cave is not up to McCarthy. After all these years of being in the GOPe swamp, they have his ball locked up in a container, and if he gets out of line…. SAME with McConnell, if not more so.

  7. @Zonga – here’s the list of those that voted for the final bill.

The final vote on the 4,155-page bill was 68-29. Republican Sens. Roy Blunt (MO), John Boozman (AR), Shelley Moore Capito (WV), Susan Collins (ME), John Cornyn (TX), Tom Cotton (AR), Lindsey Graham (SC), Jim Inhofe (OK), Mitch McConnell (KY), Jerry Moran (KS), Lisa Murkowski (AK), Robert Portman (OH), Mitt Romney (UT), Mike Rounds (SD), Richard Shelby (AL), John Thune (SD), Roger Wicker (MS) and Todd Young (IN) all voted in favor of the legislation.

Three more voted to advance the bill through the cloture process to get to the final vote including Marco F’ing Rubio and Charles Grassley. These scumbags claim they are for America first, honor their oaths to the constitution and don’t support spending money that we don’t have. They all are lying scum and deserve a date with a rope.

  9. Tough talk for a bunch of pussies; Empty threats for those traitors, Oh MY!! I bet they’re pissing in their boots. ‘NOT’ !!
How they were to vote was decided before they even voted on the bill.
It’s all theater and slight of hand.

  10. How much longer will repubs keep letting the reps and send use them as sex dolls. they have screwed people for too long. It’s time to wrap the gop up , use for to, then throw it into the nearest landfill. let the next one know they will be held
    to results.

  11. DO IT! If they want to vote like Democrats, make them change their party affiliation.

    Kick them to the curb.

And don’t be very gentle about it either. Make it hurt to betray their constituents.

  12. The next time you consider voting for President, don’t forget to remember how many times a “winner” for whom you voted previously, invited you to the White House; then, think about whether or not you REALLY want to send another of your precious invitations, (i.e. votes.)
