A longtime radio host for North Carolina State has been fired after making a comment about “illegal aliens” in Texas. Gary Hahn has been placed on indefinite leave after his off-the-cuff remark. Hahn paused while calling the play-by-play for the school’s football game to report the outcome of the distant Sun Bowl. Hahn told his listeners that UCLA had 14 and Pittsburgh had 6, down among all the illegal immigrants in El Paso.
The mayor of El Paso declared an emergency as a result of the influx of migrants at the border. In fact, according to CBS News, the Sun Bowl postponed its yearly “fan fiesta” due to the city’s convention center being used to house migrants. But do not make mention of that! Unless, of course, you call them victims and dreamers and entitled migrants.
The suspension is absurd.
Since 1991, Hahn has been the voice of NC State’s football and men’s basketball teams. In 2011 and 2020, he was named North Carolina Sportscaster of the Year.
I hope he sues them into bankruptcy.

Of course, it is. But this guy is an absolute dumb-ass for not recognizing the PC environment associated with national TV networks and the clear understanding that speech of any kind that reflects negatively on the network in the performance of his duties will get him summarily canned.
You could say that he is an old guy, set in his ways and that’s probably why he will be given the opportunity to self-flagellate himself on camera, to grovel himself to the woke masses with a pitiful apology, and an admonition that since he is an old white male, he didn’t know any better. And from this point forward he will be relegated to a local audience only.

The (correct) term is indeed “illegal alien(s)” and speaks directly to the situation. That’s like referring to someone as “fat” when he or she actually is fat. It’s not name-calling. It’s stating fact, yet societal lowlifes always prefer skirting issues and become “indignant” at truths. The type of people who lie to their spouse, kids, and employers.
‘Soon to be Legal Citizens’ is the correct term now.
The only people that get offended are the ones that can’t handle the truth.

Hahn is a brave man for expressing the truth. Given his age, he probably figured, the Hell with it. He decided to go out in a blaze of glory.
Unfortunately, NC State or whoever employs Hahn will probably suspend his pay and revoke his pension. Hope he’s got some savings he can protect, because he may experience the wrath of the weaponized corrupt IRS just for speaking the truth. Pray he has effective legal support. He’s going to need it to fight the Woke Syndicate.
