Kickers must have a very positive and confident mindset, as they aren’t constantly playing yet the team depends on them when they run out into the field.
Once the confidence is broken, they are more likely to miss, and if they miss, the fans are going to get pissed.
However, they get paid a ton of money and have been dealing with this for years, so it’s either ‘suck it up’ or ‘pack your bags’.
And it seems that the Dallas kicker got his confidence back. However, he’s still likely to get traded before next year.
