$4000 dollars for Bruce Springsteen tickets?
I can tell you right now, I wouldn’t pay $4000 to see anyone, let alone Springsteen.
A leading Bruce Springsteen fanzine has announced it will cease publication after 43 years because the artist’s fanbase became disillusioned by unaffordable concert tickets.
Backstreets magazine said both its editorial staff and fans had become ‘dispirited’ and ‘downhearted’ after prices for some tickets to the artist’s 2023 arena tour reached $4,000 each last year.
‘These are concerts that we can hardly afford; that many of our readers cannot afford; and that a good portion of our readership has lost interest in as a result,’ wrote Christopher Phillips, the magazine’s editor-in-chief and publisher.
After 43 years of publishing in one form or another, by fans for fans of Bruce Springsteen, it’s with mixed emotions that we announce Backstreets has reached the end of the road,’ he began a note on February 3.
I wouldn’t pay 4,000 Ugandan Shillings for the fanzine subscription.

Springsteen and his neighbor Bon Jovi alienated me as soon as they decided to tell the rest of us who we should vote for. Both of them are major hypocrites.
The last concert I went to was Steely Dan and only because a buddy won 2 tickets on a radio station.
Been priced out of concerts for awhile. I saw Pink Floyd in the early 80’s and only paid $25 a ticket!

I have never understood the mindless adulation of entertainers, public figures or “famous” people. Once, a “famous” person visited my workplace and someone asked if i were going to walk to the next building to see and meet them. I told them if Elvis rose from the dead and visited I wouldn’t waste my time to simply see or meet him. To pay $4000 to see an entertainer is insanity. Besides Springsteen is a no-talent hack as a musician/singer. To him this is just a job and a way to make money, nothing more.
I wouldn’t pay $4.00 to see Stinkstream.
