Reigning Champions, Team Fluff Wins the Puppy Bowl

Bleacher Report

After a cagey, back-and-forth affair through the early parts of the first half, the defending champs, sparked by a late second-quarter run, took a 14-point lead into halftime and didn’t look back, seemingly leaving Team Ruff in the dust.

The second half took a turn for the worse for Team Fluff, however, as its rival scored 31 unanswered points to tie things up at 73 in the final minute of the game.

The drama only increased in the closing seconds as the game’s first-ever double touchdown sent the game to overtime for the first time in history, when Team Fluff ultimately won it. More

  1. Worst puppy bowl ever. What was once a nice several hour distraction, watching cute puppies just run around and have fun, has now become yet another overly produced advertisement. The commentary was even more insipid than in previous years, and the total time with dogs on the screen was likely less than 1/2 hour over the three hour annoyance fest. Tuned in to see the beautiful great dane and saw maybe 30 seconds of her. The Super Bowl sucks for sure, but somehow Hollywood has made even watching cute dogs as equally horrible.

  2. Well they played the real National Anthem, and the were no ads from ASPCA so there’s that…

Might as well watch overproduced puppies than what amounts to WWE in football. it’s no less fake.
