For the first time in 31 years, the United States has a new favorite dog breed.
The American Kennel Club released its 2022 registration statistics and found that after being the most popular dog breed for three decades, the Labrador Retriever was outranked by the French Bulldog.
According to a press release, the French Bulldog has spiked in popularity over the last 10 years. In 2012, the breed was the 14th most popular and jumped to no. 2 in the 2021 rankings. Registrations have also increased by over 1,000% from 2012 to 2022. Fetch
You call that a dog?

I need one with a longer gait
Have been a lab man for 70 years. But was influenced by the fact they are great Everly Boss dogs!
For those <70
"Hey BIRD DOG get away from my chick!"
I admit Im old!
Hmmm. I prefer Maine Coon.
adopt an asthmatic
If he can’t catch a rabbit he ain’t no friend of mine.
You ever try taking a long hike in the woods with a French Bulldog?
Me either
A finer dog can’t be had then a Lab. but if you have the constitution and patience then enjoy a German Storthaired Pointer. A Heeler breed is great as well……I recently adopted a mini australian shepherd and he seems to be a nice fit for where I am in life…He a character!….He combines well with my 13 tear old heeler and my rat terrier….The rat terrier is a sweetheart, but well, she’s a terrier…..
They say all dogs go to Heaven. I think they also bring it while here on Earth.
Even the pocket pups.
Does it talk like Will Ferrell or Jamie Foxx?
“You ever try taking a long hike in the woods with a French Bulldog?”
Nope, but there was this short ride with a snowcow
**Hope to clarify that someday when the weather is right
Gutfeld covered this a few days ago. He has one and his costar Cat Timph each have one of these.
Funny segment.

Some of the best dogs I’ve spent time with were Heinz 57 types. But I especially have a spot for Boxers.

71 years ago the German was my fav. Yes I was a man that killed animals. And then ate ’em! PITA likely had a poster with me on it 50 years ag.
Short hairs are indeed great dogs; but labs for me!
A favorite of celebrities? That’s reason enough NOT to get one.
Old big mutts from the pound. Seems no one want’s them. They need someone in their old age.
Labs, Goldens, and Doodles.
Have a Lab, an American Bulldog, and a Cur (Treeing Tennessee Brindle)…each unique. Wouldn’t trade them for the world. Hell, they saved my life. I’d take a Frenchie in….they crack me up. All the attitude of a bulldog, half the size.
Face it, dogs are better people than we can ever strive to be.
Bernese Mountain Dogs are the absolute best dogs I have ever encountered. Big, hairy, but lovable as can be.
My son has a pair of those French bulldogs. Most annoying dogs EVER. I loved my labs, but the best was my big old mutt. Part german shepherd part I don’t know what. I miss him a lot.
German Shepherds and Rottweilers are my favorite canine pals. They are incredibly loyal, powerful, loving dogs and great defenders. Labs are sweet and lots of fun. Small breed, yapping dogs just don’t appeal to me, plus they’re high maintenance.
I’m a Rottie guy, have had five of them. Currently have a GSD and a Lab mix. Any dog is alright with me; grew up with a boxer, miniature poodle, and a lab mix. I love them all.
We have a whippador: part whippet (think “small greyhound”) and part labrador. Smart, fast, not much of a barker unless it’s necessary. Best all-around dog we’ve ever had.
Nice ears.

I agree with you. Maine Coons are awesome. We have two, plus a Manx.
Never let your French Bulldog access your guns; he’ll turn them in to the authorities.
True story; it’s happened before.
