Man Stops Bank Robbery By Hugging The Suspect

A bank robbery in Woodland, California, was stopped thanks to the actions of a Good Samaritan. Michael Armus Sr. told Good Morning America that he was depositing checks at the bank when a man walked in and handed the teller a note demanding money. Armus recognized the suspect as a former neighbor and decided to get involved.

  1. @Cmn¢¢guy – “…Theft of less than $1000 isn’t a crime in Commifornia.
Should apply to banks as well…”

Not a local crime. Federal crime, federal time. Even if it’s only $10.

  2. This was a super rare case and he went with this gut vibe. Literally gutsy move. Of course, Very few cases like this will arise, lucky it was him there. Of course all you libs are welcome to give this method a go on the average bank robber!

Flip side, talk to a long time cop and likely will have a similar story or two.
