  1. …if you also hear Jimi Hendrix singing “‘scuse me while I kiss this fly” in Purple Haze, then this interpretation of Ram Jam’s “Black Betty” is for YOU…

  2. I sometimes like to get stupid on Sunday afternoons, but that is a stretch. Sill laughing, “Do you like bean enchiladas and dancing in the rain?”

  3. Ah. Another misheard lyric thing.
Plenty of those. Blinded by the light. Still never figured that one out.
My mom howled in laughter when I was a kid when I sang ‘going to the Jack-o-lantern, gonna get married’

  4. P Henry, when my hubby was a kid he and his friends had a band. His mother thought I’m So Glad by Cream was Anthropad.

When I was a kid I thought 10th Ave Freezeout was Dead Devil in the Freezer.😂

    I know how soon,
You know a rabbit in an aeroplane, oh oh,
    B-b-b-bunny in a jet.

I blame the AM transistor radio, and the crappy car radio.

  6. wasn’t this song, in its original form, sung by British soldiers during the French & Indian Wars & the American Revolution, about the ‘Brown Bess’ muskets they used?

  9. lam de lam / panda lamp… a bit of a stretch…

But, OMG, so are those videos y’all posted!

It’s Leadbelly. Which is not a heavy metal band. (But that would be a good name for one.) Evidently, I have been out of the loop since the 1930’s or so…

  10. Little Morphin’ Annie,

I went thru my outsized music collection and found 16 Leadbelly albums that I hadn’t thought of in years and years. SO MANY SONGS come from Leadbelly.
There’s also an album called “A Tribute to Leadbelly” done in 1989, with Pete Seeger, Lunenberg Travelers, Sonny Terry, and Arlo Guthrie. A very enjoyable live album.
