Down here $8k would barely cover the Plumbing rough in…That Work was Criminal .
The last Bathroom Remodel I did under $10k was 2006..

The sad thing 4 months ago we checked out a local roofer who got great reviews. Over $10,00 and our new roof leaks.
Long story shortened- he has disappeared. His screaming mimi wife says he is ‘away’. I believe that’s a code word for in jail. She doesn’t know when he will be back. He was in Marion Correctional before for a 3rd degree felony. I did not find this info the first time i vetted him. After much arguing she says she will try and get someone to fix. I doubt that will happen so we will pay someone else to fix this leak. She has already lied to us multiple times and to the cops.
The contractor – legally – now owes ths woman a new bathroom, when he gets out of jail.
Anybody with a pick-up truck and a tool belt can claim to be a contractor.
He had the lowest bid.
Its tough to get voted the worst contractor in Colorado as there are so many vying for the honor! Kind of like all those Hollyweird Assholes vying to be the best Clown in Town (Actor)!
Why bother to video this guy? I would just shoot him in the head, then explain to the police that he broke in and went nuts. Problem solved. Word of advice? Ask for references next time you hire a contractor.

That is not cool. I have wanted to do take back work i had done a couple of times after not being paid, but thats the risk you take being a contractor who is trusting, naive, or stupid enough to start work without a contract! I dont care how many receipts he has for purchase of materials. Once its installed on a customers home, it becomes a part of that home and is therefore their property!

I think the contractor and his wife were arrested for burglary….and other area contractor fixed this free of charge.
Just try to imagine being a ‘mom-pop’ contractor for a mulit-state company that declares bankruptcy and their lawyers inform you that YOUR ‘mom-pop” contracting business now OWES the lawyers 20% of ALL and ANY monies received from work done for the multi-state company.
A law backed by federal government…..
