Concierge Refuses To Call Fire Department For People Stuck in Elevator for Hours

This is infuriating. The guy knows right away that it’s a matter of money, and that’s why they won’t call the fire department.

The concierge claims the fire department will also wait on technicians, the protocol being they have to allow the “security on site” to handle the situation.

They should all sue.

  1. When i was a wee puppy and out for hollowen we decided we could get a much bigger haul hitting up apartment buildings instead of walking all over the neighbour hood to homes.

  2. If that was in Canuckistan you would be FINED INTO the STONE AGE by TSSA. Technical Safety Standards Asoc.

They would then AUDIT YOU, Surprise Inspect, and bill You as they AUDIT.
Don’t Fuck with the ELEVATOR COPS!
They make the Fire Dept look like a bunch of Amateur BBQ boys.

And then the Building Insurance could get involved – BOHICA!

SNS is going to have a shit for the Fire thingy… Tee Hee

  3. The Fire Dept would have gotten them out right away. Also if you give it a little effort you can pull the door open with your hands. Had a old building in college the elevator would get stuck between floors frequently so the door would not open because the safety mechanism was not in the right place, so I would pull it open and depending which floor we were closer to manually open the exterior door. Fucking Ga tech in the 80’s, I wasn’t staying stuck in an elevator with geeks freaking out.

  4. It’s a life and death issue. Also a mental health issue: I would become a stark naked raving madman in that situation. If someone has to vomit, or poop, or pee, that makes it much worse. If someone has a heart attack and dies while stuck in an elevator, that is 1000 times worse.

I would be more than willing to join in a severe ass-kicking of that concierge piece of shit or do it myself if nobody else would. There is just no excuse to treat people that way.
