Peter Navarro Convicted of Contempt of Congress

Newsweek

The conviction of former White House trade adviser Peter Navarro could spur another one of Donald Trump‘s close allies to flip on the former president to avoid a similar fate, according to a former prosecutor.

Navarro, who frequently pushed the false claims the 2020 election was rigged against Trump, was found guilty by a jury of two counts of contempt of Congress on Thursday after he refused to comply with a subpoena issued to him by the House Select Committee investigating the January 6 attack on the Capitol. 1. The shame committee brings shame charges.
“Navarro is due to be sentenced on January 12, 2024. He faces up to a year in prison for each charge.”

  2. Just in: Mark Meadows denied. Federal judge Steve C. Jones denied Mark Meadows request to move his Georgia state charges to a federal court. Trying to shield himself from charges under the guise it fell under his job description, failed. This is a landmark decision, meaning others trying this (get out of jail free card) will also be denied. Reported Trump has filed the same motion & now his request to move to a federal venue will most likely be denied too. Has been reported Mark Meadows had the best chance out of all 19 defendants, including Trump.
