‘Meatball’ Charged With 6 Felonies

NYPost: The Philadelphia social media influencer arrested while she livestreamed Tuesday night’s looting mayhem fought back tears as she was charged with six felonies.

Dayjia Blackwell, better known as “Meatball,” shared her firsthand view of the chaos, in which looters targeted several businesses including Apple, Foot Locker and Lululemon, before being caught.

In the videos posted to her Instagram Stories, Blackwell can be heard laughing and cheering on the other looters as she stood by and watched the chaos unfold.

At one point during her stream, Blackwell turned to face her camera and challenged the cops to arrest her.

“Tell the police they’re either gonna lock me up tonight, or it’s gonna get lit, it’s gonna be a movie,” she said at one point. more

  1. What is the use of stealing iPhones when they are useless unless connected to a cell phone system at which point they could probably be tracked?

Or would the Feds only do that to people who go to abortion protests?

As someone who’s cell phone was recently stolen – all they have to do is put in a different sim card and it’s a different phone.

I am very frustrated that the phone itself can’t be tracked no matter what sim card is in it.

How they get a sim card to do this with is something I don’t know yet, but it’s a thing.

  3. I read in one account that the iPhones and tablets started emitting a loud siren alarm after being removed from the store, causing the looters to start smashing them. And it’s not just the looting, they have to absolutely trash the stores they are robbing, if they don’t just set them on fire. It’s just a big street party for them.

  4. Prediction. All charges will be dropped after mostly peaceful protests.. Benjamin Crump will persuade the City to pay Meatball $12 million for defamation.. Apple will apologize and promise to “do better” and provide free phones and service to the “community” for a year.
