The Senate passed an amendment banning federal mask mandates on commercial airlines and public transportation in an appropriations bill Wednesday.
In a 59-38 vote, senators β including several Democrats β voted in favor of the amendment brought forth by Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, which restricts any federal funds from being used to enforce mask mandates on passenger flights, trains, transit buses, and other publicly funded transportation through the next fiscal year. They only passed it because they know the Husk is under orders to veto it.
Wearing cloth masks to prevent the spread of viruses is like screening a porch with chicken wire to keep out mosquitoes.
So, they won’t use federal dollars to enforce it. Just use federal regulations to coerce the private companies to enforce it for them at no cost to the federal government.
Reads like a collection of loop holes. Especially… “through the next fiscal year.”… what then?
Once the damage is done, we’ll place a ban on it so the little people will think that the government is on their side and here to protect their freedom.
The dems got a real kick from making the help wear masks, get vaccinated etc, while they excluded themselves.
7 of the 10 are up for reelection.
