I Don’t Like Drunk Drivers – IOTW Report

I Don’t Like Drunk Drivers

They don’t care about me, or anyone else, why should they be tolerated?

This drunk got lucky, he only hit a fountain. Will he learn his lesson?

Doubtful.

  1. Looks like that drunk Holdgate is part of an historic cabal of fountain destroyers. One of the comments points to a govt source saying this is the 13th time that fountain has been smashed by motor vehicle drivers. I suspect most if not all of them were smashed themselves.

  2. He destroyed a city heirloom from 1885! He should be charged a pretty penny for THAT!

Personally I get a kick out of the morons that drive 70MPH over the center of a traffic circle and launch themselves into next week!!

  3. I have no use for drunks either. What really pisses me of though is how they are dealt with when they are among the “elites.”

Tacoma City Manager, Ray Corpuz, was driving on the rims of his Mercedes after slamming a roundabout after leavening El Gaucho plastered after the Police Chief he enabled and covered up for murdered his wife. This was after he had put in a program to divert money form existing infrastructure maintenance and preservation to a program called Visualize Tacoma that would revitalize downtown and new high net worth and earning residents and A-List businesses would come flocking and herding in with the end result being failing pavement Citywide, Farmers Insurance, Russel Investments and Davita the only A-list businesses leaving Tacoma to be replaced by government offices and non-profits who contribute no taxes and subsidized apartments that cost the taxpayers and condos who are getting ten years tax abatement in order to entice people to purchase them.

He was FINALLY given the boot when it became inconvenient to keep him around and was subsequently hired as a City Manager in California.

Question….if the town is going to rebuild the fountain after 13 hits, ya reckon it might be a good idea to locate it somewhere besides the middle of the street?

  5. He will beat the DUI charge in court ,”I was just driving home, stone cold sober at the time, when some dog ran in front of me. I love dogs and tried to avoid hitting it but hit the fountain instead. I was so distraught at destroying an historic artifact that I drove home and started drinking heavily. I was going to call the city first thing in the morning to report the mishap and pay for any damages when I fell asleep, only to be awakened by the cops banging on my door”.

  6. Or………..the driver sues the city for putting a hazardous obstacle right smack in the middle of the road, no warning signs, no protective guardrails, not even well-lit, and the result of this accident is that he has constant neck pain, can’t sleep at night, is incontinent, suffers extreme bouts of depression and anxiety, and is traumatized to the point of being unable to engage in sexual congress with his wife.

    Seven-figure judgment, at least.

  7. When the city of Spokane built a small roundabout next to my house which is on a corner lot in order to calm traffic and slow it down it didn’t take very long for the first idiot to drive straight over it and knock down the warning sign indicating a roundabout ahead. People are used to it now and it’s been a while since someone drove over it, but it will happen again without a doubt.

  8. After my late wife quit smoking cold turkey on Feb. 1, 1994 she couldn’t stand being around people who smoked, it made her physically sick. We went to CDA Casino just outside of Worley, Idaho once and when we got back to our hotel room, she immediately had to take a shower and change her clothes, it was that bad. So much for the non-smoking area in the restaurant where the smoke still drifted in from the rest of the casino.

  9. There once was a drunk from Nantucket
Who hit a fountain and then said “F*** it”
    “I’ll drive off and flee
Nobody will suspect it was me
And the drunk driving charge, I will duck it.”
