Massive Homeless Encampment Fire Shuts Down Los Angeles Freeway Indefinitely

Breitbart: A massive fire at a homeless encampment beneath an underpass in downtown Los Angeles has shut down the 10 freeway indefinitely.

The fire occurred on Saturday in two storage areas beneath the freeway that also hosted a sprawling homeless encampment.

“The incident, which closed westbound and eastbound lanes of the busy freeway between Alameda Street and Santa Fe Avenue, will significantly affect traffic in the area, officials said at a news conference Sunday, without offering a timetable for reopening,” noted the Los Angeles Times.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass said Angelenos should expect the freeway to be close for some time. more

  1. The “10 freeway”. That’s INTERSTATE 10, i.e. your and my federal tax dollars, squandered by socialist imbeciles running LA and California. And no one will be held accountable. Not the politicians, nor the homeless “urban campers”.

  2. WHAT A MESS

AND IN SAN DIEGO, ILLEGALS (WHO ARE ALSO OBVIOUSLY HOMELESS) ARE BUILDING CAMPFIRES ACROSS THE COUNTY DURING SANTA ANA/ FIRE CONDITIONS

THE DEMOCRATS HAVE UNLEASHED A TOTAL PERFECT SHITSTORM

    AND THE REPUBLICANS DO….
    NOTHING, ZERO, ZIP

  3. This is a feature of any government completely controlled by Democrats and/or Republican establishment types. In a rational world the politicians responsible for this would be in hiding.

  4. In Atlanta a few years back, a giant store of PVC piping “caught fire” (homeless arson) and burned so hot the primary freeway through the city collapsed. Not only were these idiots storing pallets under the freeway in LA (thousands upon thousands of them), but ALSO huge stockpiles of “hand sanitizer acquired during the PLANNEDEMIC – aka huge pointless payoffs to well-connected government friends). So basically piles of dry wood and drums of highly flammable ethanol. Way to go IDIOTS. Thankfully nobody learned a damn thing from the billions in damage Atlanta suffered.

  5. A few years ago a homeless person living under an underpass (Lawrence, MA) set a mattress on fire, which melted some fiber optic cables that provided internet to most of the city and some surrounding areas. It was weeks before the affected area resumed normal internet service.

  6. Arson? Sure, set by a LA City Counsel goon, more’n likely.

Wanna get rid of an eyesore that foreign “dignitaries” might perchance see? Nope, get rid of it, just like SF is doing.

    Burn that mother down.

  7. Office workers who slave away at the high rises in Downtown LA should have a good excuse to not show up for work.

Bob Cratchit: “Mr. Scrooge, surely you can’t expect me to walk through tons of burning, trash, burning poop, burning bags of fentanyl and possibly burning dead bodies just to get to my tiny little cube on the 58th floor?”

Mr. Scrooge: “Yes, I expect you to show up for work…how you get here is of no consequence to me”.

  8. Something similar happened in Guayaquil, Ecuador a few months ago. A homeless camp under an overpass caught fire and shut traffic down for a day. The bridge was damaged and required major repairs. The fire was caused when a copper thief burning insulation off stolen cable caught months of accumulated trash on fire. the homeless there are primarily Venezuelans joined by a number of local addicts.

Copper theft is a serious problem there, often leaving miles of streets unlit. Not good in a crime ridden city. Something to look forward to.
