Speaking of Retro — Norm MacDonald

This is one of my favorite Norm jokes-

Ahhhhhh. It’s so refreshing to see a guy on network television have the guts to sh*t all over a Democrat.

Here’s 17 minutes of Clinton jokes. It’s well worth it.

  1. Thinking of Norm makes me think about Dennis Miller, they were best buds. Miller broke free from the left early in his career, even then if you didn’t goose step with the crowd, they would single you out.

    It didn’t use to be that way, here is a list (probably incomplete, I’m sure) of Hollywood starts that were conservative;

    Barbara Stanwyck, Jimmy Stewart, Joan Crawford, Clark Gable, Gary Cooper, Cary Grant, Randolph Scott, Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, Dick Powell, Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, William Holden, Raymond Massey, W.C. Fields, Loretta Young, Irene Dunne, Rosalind Russell, Walter Pidgeon, Adolphe Menjou, Helen Hayes, Fred MacMurray, June Haver, Jeanette MacDonald, Margaret Hamilton, Maureen O’Hara, Ward Bond, Mickey Rooney, Ann Miller, Ethel Merman, Gene Tierney, Jane Russell, Jane Powell, Jane Wyman (lotta Janes), Coleen Gray, Laraine Day, Anne Baxter, June Allyson, John Wayne (of course), Andy Devine, Jennifer Jones, Jeanne Crain, Donna Reed, Rhonda Fleming, Yvonne de Carlo, Shirley Jones, Jack Webb, Robert Cummings, Glenn Ford, Charlton Heston (another of course), Efrem Zimablist Jr. Some more minor ones I happened to notice include Michael O’Shea, Anita Louise, Virginia Grey, Corinne Griffith, Frank Craven, Marie Windsor, Audrey and Jayne Meadows, Lynn Bari, Joanne Dru, Vera Ralston, and Tippi Hedren, Pearl Bailey and Nat King Cole.

    All the Hollywood moguls ( Cecil B. DeMille, Walt Disney, Harry Cohn, Sam Goldwyn, Louis B. Mayer, Irving Thalberg, and Jack Warner. Famous Republican directors included Frank Capra, Sam Wood, and Leo McCarey) were all Republicans.

    That guy was my pops flight commander 453thrd, 8th. Pops, dad, had nothing but good to say about the man. He was the lead plane in the Polesti raid. The man had to carry his balls around in a wheel barrow, A true leader. What a small world. Originally my dads flight group flew out of Benghazi. Chasing Romel. With a bomber that wasn’t supposed to be able to get off the ground on paper. When dad knew the end was near he typed out his memoirs. A made for TV movie winner. Maybe the big screen.
