Former President Donald Trump confirmed six Republicans are on his shortlist for a potential running mate and vice president at a town hall on Monday, including two former opponents and an ex-Democrat.
Trump confirmed Florida Governor and one-time foil Ron DeSantis, businessman Vivek Ramaswamy and Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina are all among the ex-rivals being considered.
South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, Florida Republican Byron Donalds and former Democrat Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard are on his list.
A DailyMail.com poll in New Hampshire found Ramasmway is the top choice to be running mate, followed by Scott in second and Tucker Carlson and Ben Carson in joint third.
‘All of those people are good. They’re all solid,’ Trump told Laura Ingraham Monday night.
Trump said, however, that deciding on a running mate might not be the biggest decision of his campaign.
‘The one thing that always surprises me is that the VP choice always has no impact,’ he said.
Trump noted that 2008 Republican VP nominee Sarah Palin did have an enormous impact but faced attacks unlike anyone ever had before.
He then attempted to make his case for what qualities he felt his running mate should bring to the ticket.
‘It’s a very important position. You would like to get somebody who could help you from the voters’ standpoint,’ he said but noted he wanted someone with ‘common sense.’
The suspense almost hurts.
I hope it will last.
Talk about a Reveal
I’ll throw in another name, Kayleigh McEnany, press secretary GOAT.
There might be a couple decent names on that list, but overall I’m not impressed.
Wake up folks. These are just the people Trump wants the MSM to focus their ill-thinking attention on.
Slight of hand.
Trump / Flynn would be better.
Tim Scott is everything we DON’T need in government. I would rather see a list of who will NEVER be part of his cabinet, etc. That would be FAR MORE REVEALING.
The best, the brightest, the fighting-est . . . KEN PAXTON.

Gov Sarah Huckabee, but it’s WAY too soon.
Tulsi Gabbard should not be on that list.
She is saying things some Republicans like, but she is a lifelong democrat.
No to Tulsi
Yes to DeSantis.
Fuck you to Nikki
Haley
Trump couldn’t pick his nose without fucking it up. Sheesh.
I’d say Clay Higgins but we need him in the House.
Believe it when you see it.
Awwww, come on, big guy!!!
I wouldn’t trust him at this point. He was all to ready to join Team Bush. Any connection to Bush/Cheney, Romney, Ryan etc is to invite the fucking Fox back into the hen house. The cocksuckers undermined and sabotaged his first term. They are pure poison.
Gabbard? No way. Pence in a dress.
Chumming the waters.
The Ene-Media will piss all over themselves trying to dissect his words.
mortem tyrannis
izlamo delenda est …
^^^Hey, John – so was Trump. So was Reagan.
Oh well, what the hell, since we are throwing names out there, how about my Congressman Eli Crane? One term guy, but he’s a straight shooter (literally and figuratively).
I would say this. If they claim to be a republican and they hold any elected position be suspect, be very suspect.
Byron would sure make the liberals upset. Can’t have a man walk off the plantation and then be friends with ‘massa. LOL
Tim Scott born in 1965
Never married
Conveniently got engaged to white girlfriend very recently
….
I remember when McCain was picking a VP candidate and then pretend republican Governor Crist got married (beard?) … only to divorce when he had switched to democrat and didn’t need her.
Byron Donalds for VP!
“He was all to ready to join Team Bush”
Okay JD, show your work?
Nigga please!
Bueller?
DeSantis already has a far better job than VP.
But sure, DeSantis invited a Jeb Bush to his inaugural, therefore he MUST be a Bushie.
*Never mind the fact that Jeb was *checks notes* the former two-term governor of Florida.
