Judge Rules Either Willis or Wade Must Go

U.S. News & World Report

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis can continue prosecuting former President Donald Trump for attempting to overturn the 2020 election in Georgia, a judge ruled on Friday, but only if the special counsel she hired for the case – with whom she also acknowledged having a romantic relationship – steps aside.

Judge Scott McAfee found no conflict of interest stemming from their relationship but said that the “prosecution is encumbered by an appearance of impropriety,” and that “as long as Wade remains on the case, this unnecessary perception will persist.” More

  1. “Whether this case ends in convictions, acquittals, or something in between, the result should be one that instills confidence in the process,” McAfee wrote. “

  2. Why does it have to be “either/or”?
    Why can’t it be “both/and”?

  3. What kind of convoluted ruling is that? They both committed perjury. From what I saw Big Fani committed a greater violation of the public trust than her swing dick boyfriend.

  4. In other news today, Judge Scott McAfee spent the better part of the last month unsuccessfully trying to find his ass in his own pants with both hand grabbing.

The new tourism slogan for GA writes itself:
“Looking for stupid assholes? Don’t pass Georgia!”

  5. Trying to have his cake and eat it too. Or split the child if you will.

We often hear of tort reform to include “loser pays” court costs. For these types of “crimes” perhaps that concept can be expanded to loser pays gets the sentence (jail, fines, take away their birthday) that would otherwise be imposed. As aeans of deterring this political law-fare.

  6. So – someone who breaks the law and lies to the court can retain their (what is supposed to be a highly principled) job. I would think Fani’s level of non-professional conduct would call in to question every case she’s ever handled in the past.

  7. I had high hopes for this guy, but it turns out he’s a spineless wimp who took the coward’s way out by splitting the baby, not dispensing justice. The ghost of Harrison Deal haunts Georgia.

  8. Wait a minute. This may be good news for President Trump’s case in the “Peach 45” state.

The case may now be considered tainted with Big Fani’s stank all over it.

Big Fani definitely will mess things up further which is enviable, working in President Trump’s favor. Another DA, much smarter than Big Fani could make things more difficult and dire for President Trump.

Also, the judge’s decision was six of one half dozen of another. He knows it was compromised. He’s trying to avoid being taken out by the Deep State who want Big Fani on the case for whatever reason.

  9. @Judge Scott:

In general the further you get out of Fulton, Dekalb, and Clayton counties in GA the smarter the people get, with a couple of exception metropolises in central and south GA.(the small blips that vote blue)
