A 69-year-old retiree visited 120 pubs to order drinks in 24 hours, breaking a Guinness World Record.
David Clarkson, who was born in Britain but has lived in Australia for over 40 years, started his attempt with a drink at the Captain Cook Hotel in Sydney.
Clarkson walked to 119 more establishments over the course of the following 24 hours, ordering a drink at each stop. More
Reminds me of that time in Rome, went on a pub crawl with four British soldiers, I literally fell in the gutter of the Via Veneto…
TMI? π
I’d be puking and worshipping the porcelain gods for a week if I drank that much alcohol in 24 hrs.
If you’re considering doing your own record-breaking pub crawl here are a few suggestions on destinations.

It says he ordered 119 drinks, it didn’t say if he drank them. I’m guessing no if he walked to all the pubs.
Probably just tasted most and only drank the good ones.
geoff – we used to call that “drivin the Buuuick”
(yew know, the one with the white “steering wheel”)
Itβs good to have an aspirational goal to get a Guinness world record. Probably not that particular goal.
I think heβs slightly exaggerating.

Raaaalph and his Buuuick. Barking at the lawn! The technicolor yawn.
Here, hold my beer. (Gotta run.)
Were they little shot glasses?
He’s gotta run cuz he’s got to pee from all that drinking.
The trick is to accompany the person trying to set the record. Just don’t over due it yourself as you help the challenger out with finishing all those drinks.
A pub crawl around Egg Harbor and Door County in general would be quite enjoyable in the summer. La Crosse, WI used to be on the list. 3rd Street had a bunch of bars when I was in college and you could do a brewery tour for a free beer to boot (G. Heileman “Old Style”).
The man Should be more interested in the atrocities that are happening in his country.
I’ve had some, in my opinion, record breaking pub crawls.
Quit drinking in 2005 and don’t miss it.
I don’t miss it either, once was enough for me in the Philippines to last a lifetime. My best friend used to call it lamppost hanging, toilet hugging drunk.
It’s nice that he fulfilled his dream.
My dream is to have a dream (stolen from a movie).
I did a barracks crawl!
Travelled through 97 barracks in 24 hours and got fucked in the ass by strangers in every one!
Didn’t make it into the record book, though.
