  1. I like Polk County’s Sheriff Grady Judd answer to a similar question…
Q:Why did your deputies shoot the suspect 68 times?’
A: Because that’s all the bullets we had.

  2. “Because that’s all the bullets we had”

So what do you do when the next bad guy climbs out of the car. I don’t condone the mag dump bull shit. No tactical trainer does. If you pop a bad guy in the head or in the CNS zone, you don’t need to shoot him again. To be clear, you may not know why he dropped. So shoot him once again in the CNS and start looking for the next threat. Mag dumps scream “I’m not really sure what I’m doing”.

  3. It’s encouraging that his boss is backing him, many wouldn’t.

But it does not stretchy credulity to imagine this scenario; A grieving mother making the local news, pleading the question of why her boy was shot so many times, the local black community taking to the streets, and a spineless DA, up for re election deciding that prosecuting a white cop for murder earns him street currency and more black votes.

Ask Officer Darren Wilson how this turns out.

  4. “Same deal in Charlotte NC today.”

We’re still waiting to hear the details on this one. How do three LE get killed serving a warrant? Gotta be right up there with a domestic dispute.

  5. “So he wasted a few bullets at the end

Not to worry, they’ll make more”

Well when he’s out and has another bad guy show up I guess we’ll just call time out. Lennie, never own a gun, never get into a gun fight. You’ll die.

  6. @Brad — A dribble more detail from Charlotte from AWR Hawkins at Breitbart:

A U.S. marshal and two police officers were killed trying to serve a warrant in east Charlotte, North Carolina, around 1:30 p.m. Monday.

NBC News reported that the marshal and the two police officers were working in the Fugitive Task Force when shot. Another task force member and four additional officers were also shot.

The warrant was being served to an individual suspected of possessing a firearm while being a convicted felon.

How in HELL can seven LEOs on their way to arrest a felon with a firearm leave themselves so grossly exposed that all are shot and three shot dead?

I’ll bet you a dollar this is another case of militarized cops having to demonstrate manhood otherwise not in evidence by goin’ in and gittin’ him out when they could have just waited around until he left the house for beer and smokes.

We’re on the same page. I’m guessing they had to cross a wide open exposed area to get to the house. I dunno. This kinda seem inexcusable to me. If it’s to dangerous picking him up at his house do it on a traffic stop OR while he’s on his way out of the grocery store. There’s no excuse for this kind of stupidity.

  8. @Brad — Absolutely right. And if there was a wide open exposed area to get to the house, then they should have realized they didn’t really need to get to the house.

C’mon, dummies. We know you have the tech. If you absolutely must get to the guy RIGHT NOW, then you send your robot dog RIGHT NOW, not your robot-like fragile and leaky human bodies.

  9. Brad, you could be right about vigilantism, look at what’s happening in Brazil right now. I think the govt is trying to goad people into it so the can declare martial law.

  10. Among the ranks of the US Marshall Service are some of the stupidest DEI hires you could ever imagine. Not all of them are worthless, but DEI is taking its toll.

I just don’t get the “Storm the castle.” police tactic, a siege works way better.
With that many officers dispatched, they knew he wasn’t coming quietly.
Boils down to, “Do you know who we are !?”.
Vigilantes, heh, I’m holding out for a bounty.

  12. shoot until it changes shape or catches fire. guessing after rounds 5-6 the shape had changed, didn’t see smoke though. not a fan of mag dumps either but I typically carry more than three mags. good on the sheriff for backing his deputy
