Hilarious to see Ringo twirling his own drum riser.

They drove the girls crazy and red-blooded boys everywhere picked up a guitar.

Saw them twice in Toronto – 1964 and 1965. 😊 My ears were ringing for several hours afterward. Very good seats both times as my friend had a connection at Maple Leaf Gardens.

No Bic lighters or phones is the first thing I notice.

Their merchandise was available quickly after Ed Sullivan!
My neighbor had a pink Beatles wallet, not sure where she got it but had to be close by. I didn’t get any but their “album” Meet the Beatles for Xmas
Enjoyed half, will finish up later tonight

I’d rather watch the cactus dieing in the corner of the Dr office. Little by little dieing every day till it’s thrown out in the garbage. The beatles suck.

Bob, they’re better than 99% of the crap that gets recorded today, modern music is horrendous.

At the time they were easily the best Rock band in the world live. In the studio? Even better.
I think the intense dislike of the Beatles is not about their music, it’s about not liking their popularity or personality. The music is not objectional enough to warrant an extreme reaction.
It’s sorta like Trump. The left’s insane vitriol does not match the man’s record.

I’ve read that when they performed live, they often could not hear themselves sing/play. Yet they were on key, kept the beat and did it all without the tons of personnel and equipment that modern acts require.
