UK Daily Mail

In a new book – ‘Long Haul: Hunting the Highway Serial Killers’ – [Assistant Director of the FBI Frank] Figliuzzi lays bare in forensic detail how hundreds of truckers trawl rest stops, motels and roadside restaurants for victims.

They kill and move on, all but untraceable. Most shocking, the FBI’s ‘Highway Serial Killings Initiative’ (HSK) estimates that between 400 and 500 truckers could be implicated in a huge number of murders over the past 35 years.

As many as 850 women have disappeared or been found dead along the main interstate routes. And yet only a handful of killers have been caught. More

The Highway Serial Killer Initiative was launched in 2009 by the FBI. So far, they’ve managed to catch 25 of them.

  1. I have a ton of respect for truckers – the lifeblood of this country.

However, it’s not surprising that creeps that need to be drawn and quartered are attracted to the anonymity of the profession.

Maybe the FIB should shift their focus on true criminal behavior instead of stamping down on those that know and appreciate the Constitution.
