Interesting topic, our crazy debt and the now $1T interest payments. We can all agree that Trump is a ‘turn around’ King, and knows all about restructuring. Call it BK if you want, but the real deal is changing the terms and making a payment plan.

A total debt jubilee could work, we all start fresh. I just don’t see how that works with mortgages. Everything else, start over. Bonds, CCards, cars, student loans. Pile it all on and burn it. But google says $12T total mortgage debt. Burning that would be a temp boost to the ecomony! But then what happens to all new home buyers…yeah…no more mortgages.
What we get back though is no more deficit spending by any government agency, fed or state. No more bonds. And a balanced budget all across the board. That has to be some kind of wonderful benefit.
