GP: Alvin Bragg’s office agreed to delay Trump’s sentencing set for July 11 after the Supreme Court decided on presidential immunity.
The Supreme Court on Monday ruled 6-3 that Trump has absolute immunity for his core Constitutional powers.
“Although we believe defendant’s arguments to be without merit, we do not oppose his request for leave to file and his putative request to adjourn sentencing pending determination of his motion,” assistant district attorney Josh Steinglass wrote in a letter to Judge Juan Merchan, ABC News reports. more
I believe this favors the left and the judge.
It gives the judge more time to weigh what sentence will benefit the democrats in a couple of months, closer to the election.
