Texas leadership officials have accused Democrat President Joe Biden of “turning Hurricane Beryl into a political issue.”
Republican Governor Greg Abbott’s office slammed Biden for telling “a complete lie” that the White House was unable to “track down the governor” to discuss a response to the storm.
Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick labeled the claim as “Biden’s Hurricane Hoax.”
Beryl made landfall on the Texas coast early Monday.
The storm has now been classified as a weakened tropical depression.
When it landed in Texas, it caused significant flooding and knocked out power to millions of Americans.
Approximately 1.7 million residents, primarily in the southeastern portion of the state, were still without power as of Wednesday morning, according to PowerOutage.us.
On Tuesday, Biden told the left-wing Houston Chronicle that his administration had been unable to provide prompt emergency aid to Texas following the storm’s landing because the White House was unable to “track down” state leaders. more
Fortunately, we have a backup generator to power the whole house. One of the previous owners had a serious health issue that required life support equipment.
We had the generator serviced in late May. Good thing, it has been running since 5:30 Monday morning. It will probably run at least though tomorrow.
Our house had no damage though we had a tree blow down. Several cars got slightly crunched in the neighborhood. I saw a house today that had two trees on the roof.
Maybe if we tell Joe that we have Ukrainians here and the hurricane was generated by Rusia, he would pour money into here.

I’m in SE Texas but never lost power, in spite of getting hammered pretty good. My power company is Entergy. They’ve spent tons of money in the last few years to make the power grid more reliable and it seems to be working.
