Your reminder that Mike Godwin, creator of Godwin’s Law about 3 decades ago, wrote last year that he allows an exception for Trump. Which says a hell of a lot more about Godwin than about Trump.

Godwin’s Law stated that the longer a discussion goes on, online, the more likely someone will make a comparison to Hitler. But the point of the law was that this person is telegraphing that he has lost the argument. So in saying it’s okay to compare Trump to Hitler, Godwin is acknowledging that he has lost the argument, he cannot make a case against Trump with actual facts.
And the mainstream media’s heads should be blown clean off.

I appreciate & we all agree that the rhetoric the left has been using for almost a decade now demonizing President Trump and his supporters has been horrific & has to stop. But the fact of the matter is, they aren’t going to stop. And when Democrats argue that the tone has to come down they mean Republicans and Trump supporters should shut up about what the left has done. Defending Trump, ourselves, and this country is not ‘heated rhetoric’ it is the beginning of a national recognition of what the left has done using fear, threats, demonization, & intimidation to frighten conservatives into silence and to cause more violence and chaos.
