    Sounds great – a picture or painting of horses running – I call it Art in Motion. At any thoroughbred horse race, especially during the stretch to the finish, it’s easy to see why we can call it art.

    BTW, there are some UTube videos I’ve seen lately of beautiful animals – with some incredibly beautiful horses – I’ll try to find the link and provide it.

    Wife and I saw some beauties in Denmark – entire pastures of blond horses – manes and tails all blond…just what we’d expect in blond Denmark.

50. @Tim Buktu, the Danish horses sound beautiful! I wonder what breed you saw. My son and d-in-law breed Icelandic Horses and Thoroughbreds (from stock adopted at the local race track). Even the little yearling T-bred is, as you say, art in motion when he casually canters across the pasture. So full of natural grace. His dam and sire are both gorgeous!

    Another Danish horse moment: I was walking down a country road and stopped to see some horses – these were not the blondies I spoke about. There were 3 chestnut horses and they ran up to the fence as if to say “Hi Mister, ya got any apples for us?”. I petted each one on the forehead and I read later that horses don’t like being petted on the forehead – but these guys/girls didn’t mind at all. My wife and I went back the next day with a sack of apples – some purchased, some we found in an orchard. We fed them what we had and they were happy. They were super nice and friendly horses.
