another point to consider is the tax regulation on housing/building. here in norcal the county has outpriced construction for everyone but the wealthy. i.e. 6000 dollars in permit fees to construct a 12×20 shed. my county has embraced the liberal mindset of tax and regulate construction, leaving the middle class at full stop.

However, of the four people on the two tickets, JD Vance is pretty amazing and the best in terms of his ability to calmly destroy the narratives of the left. Should he, as I fervently hope, along with Trump win, he will be well positioned for the top job in 2028.
I have a cousin who’s a drywaller, he says the illegals work for cheap under the table but do shoddy work. Construction isn’t one of those jobs that “Americans don’t want to do”.
