The horrific drowning of two influencers after a yacht party happened when their overcrowded boat was sunk by a wave and they had refused to wear lifejackets, cops have revealed

Aline Tamara Moreira de Amorim, 37, and Beatriz Tavares da Silva Faria, 27, were found dead after their launch sank off a stretch of Brazil‘s coast known as the Devil’s Throat.

Now nearly a month after the drownings police say they died when their overloaded boat was swamped as it returned to the Brazilian coast. Sao Vincente police commissioner Marcos Alexandre Alfino says the influencers had refused to wear life jackets, local media reported on October 25.

  1. The headline is VERY MISLEADING.
    You don’t wear a life jacket when you’re on a yacht. Not unless it’s going down. The pilot of the small boat says he was told to take a total of 7 people (including himself) back to shore, through some pretty rough waters. The small boat went down – not the yacht. A lot more to this – and likely the fault of either the yacht’s captain (not the boat pilot) or the party organizers.

  2. Everything is fun in the sun, until it’s no longer fun. As anyone should understand, no one plans on an accident.
    No doubt that ol’ rascal alcohol was along for the false courage ride. Sad in the end, when those dead bodies were found.

  3. I bet they would have loved to trade their influence for a life jacket?
    Just like the left hates guns until they need one. No one is coming to rescue you, you’ll always be your own first responder, plan accordingly.
