North Jersey mayors demand action from NJ, feds on flurry of drone sightings

North Jersey

A group of Morris County mayors and other local elected officials are demanding answers and action by authorities concerning the multiple sightings of drones in North Jersey in recent weeks.

A letter signed by 19 elected officials requests assistance from law enforcement agencies, the Federal Aviation Administration, the Department of Homeland Security and the New Jersey State Police. The letter says those agencies have taken “a reactive instead of proactive approach” to the issue.

The mysterious drone sightings began in Morris County just before Thanksgiving, and they have since been reported in Sussex, Somerset and Warren counties and other areas in North Jersey. more

  1. I think these drones are from the government of Antarctica. I think the US should launch a preemptive strike against them. Antarctica is the only place on Earth we haven’t started a war yet. Better yet we could back New Zealand in a proxy war against all the Penguins down there. I heard they are all anti-semites.

What a great way to launder another trillion taxpayer dollars.

  2. I live in Sussex County NJ not far from the initial sightings but I believe it has become a case of mass hysteria. People see the numerous aircraft flying overhead and believe they’re drones. Even the gossipy cat ladies are now seeing them in my little community.

  3. If they have lights, they are ours. If they don’t they may or may not be an adversary. The Feds aren’t going to shoot down a damn thing and show our capabilities. Or lack of.
Remember, don’t believe any photo/video you see in this age of AI.
I think “they” are trying to set us,(non-Government folks worldwide) for the long con. Some people are going to get more money and power and we ain’t on the list.

  4. Locally we have an individual who has decided that it is a good thing to harass hunters. They (the hunters) called DNR and had them (DNR) explain to this guy that it is illegal to harass hunters and he’ll be subject to arrest if it happens again. One of his tactics was the use of a drone. DNR guy told the hunters, “Shoot it down!”

Last time they had the thing coming into their area they all simultaneously raised up shouldering their weapons and the drone immediately went straight up before anybody got off a shot. Haven’t see the damn thing since.

Not that anyone would carry illegal rounds while hunting waterfowl, but I’ve heard that #4 Buck has an extended range. Or so I’m told…

  5. We may not be supposed to shoot them down but that’s also assuming they are way up in the sky. People are reporting they’re being seen at rooftop level & below. One gets outside my bedroom window it’s fair game as far as I’m concerned.
