Red State
FBI Director Christopher Wray plans to resign on or before Inauguration Day, according to recent reports. The move, widely seen as preemptive, reflects growing pressure from Republican lawmakers, led by Senator Charles Grassley, and signals yet another shift in leadership for an agency that has been at the center of political and institutional controversies over the past several years. Don’t leave town!
“Hey, what about my pardon?”
He will follow in the footsteps of his predecessor, write a book documenting how he single-handedly saved democracy from the evil Orange Man, make a bunch of scratch on speaking gigs and CNN appearances, and then get some cushy teaching position at some liberal arts school, where young minds can be taught situational ethics, where laws can be broken if it’s for a good cause.
What he gets a retroactive pardon?? How’s that work? Has he been arrested, charged and convicted?? “Get out of jail/pardon cards”??
I’d much prefer his resignation be accomplished via seppuku.
On PPV.
GITMO.
Yeah, he can write a book and have his picture on the front cover of him standing in a redwood forest with the title, For The Greater Good.
@Uncle Al – Love the seppuku idea, but you’d have to convince him it would result in reincarnation (but leave out the ‘as a worm’ part…)
I hope he gives himself enough time to change into prison garb.
“…an agency that has been at the center of political and institutional controversies…”
Come on Red State. That is weak. It sounds like something Mitt Romney or Jake Tapper would say. I’m not expecting “an agency of fascist thugs running roughshod over the Constitution” from you, but—well, yes, that is exactly what I am expecting from you. Fo better, write harder.
Hari kari would be better. Hanging, best.
