  1. Good grief – and I thought the voters in Massachusetts were idiots (hint: they are) but Kentucky – seriously? WTF????

News flash – you ain’t the Pope and you ain’t the Queen. You’re not supposed to die in office. Jeez, Mitch, dude, you’ll still get your big show in the rotunda and all the ceremony a little man could want even if you do the right thing. This is not a partisan thing – both Ted Kennedy and John McCain refused to resign as they died from cancer even though they were no longer doing the people’s work. Apparently, it is not necessary to have two senators – maybe DOGE could eliminate half of the senate and all the staff and needless extravaganza that goes along with them.

  2. “How about instead we have an IQ test and a civics test after a certain age every year.”

Is that for politicians, or voters, or both. Because the dumbass voters keep re-electing all these assholes.

  3. Those calling for term limits need to rethink that. Examine the mess we now have because of the feel-good ‘I get to vote for my senator’ 17th Amendment.
We have term limits now…they are called elections.

  4. I’m wondering how much of his exuberant funds gathered from being a Senator is also funding the “Republican” party in Kentucky.

He should have been primaried three decades ago…

  5. Turtle McConnell has been on “welfare” for every term he’s served. Taxpayers pay for his time in office. Has McConnell really done anything on behalf of Kentucky voters that’s been significantly beneficial all these years? I think not.

During his time in office, the Uniparty RINO has probably enriched himself through kickbacks, tax evasion, lobbying, foreign deals and insider trading, etc. Now, he’s old and in bad shape and won’t leave the Senate unless he’s forced out or dies. Greed beyond comprehension.

The taxpayers are going to foot the bill for his long term health care. He more than likely won’t be using much of his ill gotten gain or pension for medical bills. A very good reason why his constituents should be screaming for “term limits”.
