Homeless man “catches fire” in Manhattan subway station

FOX: NYPD investigates after homeless man catches fire in Manhattan subway station
An elderly man is in critical condition after he reportedly caught on fire inside Manhattan’s Penn Station on Friday, authorities said.

Emergency personnel responded to the subway station after MTA police received a call about a man on fire at approximately 8 p.m. ET. 

“MTA Police Officers responded to the scene and located a 67-year-old male with burn injuries to both of his legs and upper body,” an NYPD spokesperson said.

The man was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian / Weill Cornell Medical Center for treatment and remains in critical condition.  read more

  1. My mom used to tell me always wear clean underwear because you never know if you might catch on fire and have to go to the ER.
    It eliminates embarrassment.
    Plus I always carry a couple bandaids in my wallet for small fires.

    …having been on the other side of that myth, I can tell you definitively that no one you encounter in a medical emergency is comcerned about the cleanliness of your underwear.

    A lot of folks I saw may or may not have started the day with clean underwear, but the circumstances that precipitated our meeting sometimes rendered that moot…

When the media pulls this transparently evasive stunt there is no doubt in anyone’s mind that THE IDENTITY of the INDIVIDUAL who is RESPONSIBLE is being concealed for politically motivated purposes.
