The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and a top oil and gas industry trade group are suing Vermont over its new law requiring that fossil fuel companies pay a share of the damage caused over several decades by climate change.
The federal lawsuit filed Monday asks a state court to prevent Vermont from enforcing the law, which was passed last year. Vermont became the first state in the country to enact the law after it suffered catastrophic summer flooding and damage from other extreme weather. If your only legal training came from binge watching Law & Order, you’d know what a litigious nightmare the Democrat-run state house was teeing up. Sometimes I wonder if Democrats have figured-out how to write legislation for the sole purpose of being sued (the state tax-payers), in order to make large settlements with an eye to kickbacks. Sounds like a lot of work, but could be very lucrative.
Idiots! Anyone with half a brain cell knows the climate change industry is a hoax created for money and power. Big companies don’t suffer (except the pain in the ass of dealing with the BS), the consumer suffers. Nothing positive for the best interest of the American people has come from the scam of climate change, only cronies and politicians have benefitted.
Real simple, just shut off service to Vermont. After that, it won’t take long to get things back in order. Afterwards, publish the names of the politicians who did it and surcharge the service until they have recovered their losses. When you have a bunch of dumbass people voting this crap in, they might learn a few lessons on the repercussions.
Unproveable claims, regardless of veracity, should never be codified as law. EVERYONE involved in formulating and passing such a law should be impeached and imprisoned.
